Magic conspiracy guardian tower. Magic rituals
Far from populated areas, surrounded by impenetrable swamps and dense forests, the Dark Tower stands in the gorge. What has she, the ancient one, not seen in her lifetime.
This is probably why travelers from different parts of different worlds strive to learn more about it, to see it from the inside and outside, which, we admit, is quite dangerous and not everyone succeeds.
We are, of course, talking about Karazhan. In this guide you will get a description of the former and current inhabitants of the Tower, gossip and rumors about it (what could be better for a tourist), learn the history of this grandiose building and the place where it is located.
Dead winds, Dead winds.
It was quiet in the tower - quiet, but not calm. In the embrace of the night, silent shadows slid from window to window, ghosts moved along the balconies and parapets. Less than ghosts, but more than mere memories, they were nothing more than pieces of the past that had fallen out of the stream of time. The madness of the tower's owner tore these shadows of the past from their places, and now they were doomed to live their lives again and again in the silence of the abandoned tower. Not to truly live, but to play, without having a single spectator who could see them.
Once upon a time, the territory of what is now Deadwind Pass was part of the Redridge Mountains, sandwiched between the dense forest in the west and the Swamps of Sorrows in the east. There were few people here; travelers avoided these places, which were not only inhabited by dangerous wild animals, but also simply unremarkable.
One night this earth was rocked by a powerful explosion. It is believed that its power was such that the loud sound could be heard in Stormwind, and the fading echo reached the peaks of Dun Morogh.
The area sank, becoming a gorge, and mountains grew around it from the rocks that were torn out by this explosion. Animals died, trees were uprooted, the few hermits who lived here departed to another world.
No one knows why the explosion occurred, although many magicians of the Violet Citadel have been conducting research in this area. The only thing that is known for certain is that the detonation was of a magical kind, and after it all the power lines of Azeroth converged on this place, making it the center of magic.
Nature is recovering quickly, and soon the flora and fauna returned to this place. The bottom of the gorge is overgrown with beautiful young forest.
However (here I will skip a lot, but you will learn about it later, when our tour proceeds inside the Tower) something happened after the death of the last owner, and a terrible curse fell on these parts. Everything around was inhabited by monstrous creatures, demonic creatures, and now the light is never visible here. That is why the forest in the west was called Twilight. Most of all, the corruption touched the Pass itself. The grove in the gorge completely died and most of the living creatures left the depression again. From now on, only the wind walks along the bare rugged rocks far from well-trodden paths, and the guttural sounds made by vultures are heard in the pitch darkness. At the entrance to the gorge, travelers will immediately see the dead, swinging in the gray darkness on an eerie twisted tree. Signs along the road read:
Above the Dead Wind Ravine, among the lifeless rocks, a narrow path winds. Today, of the living creatures, besides the vultures, only the ogre tribe has chosen the Pass, settling in Pogan, a typical ogre settlement.
Ahead you will see a long-abandoned and already half-destroyed village of people, and right in the middle of it, a dark silhouette against the background of gray skies, a gigantic ivory spire rises into the air (there is, fortunately not a very strong hypothesis, that the tower is made from the bones of the poor mammoths).
The tower, a repository of ancient, mysterious knowledge, is silent. Once upon a time, the path here was closed to mere mortals, but now the Violet Eye was able to open the gates of Karazhan. Take the opportunity and enter the doors of the Tower, towards the secrets and mysteries of its ancient history.
Wild animals, ridable, butchered.
For those who are well acquainted with the fifth dimension, it costs nothing to expand the room to the desired limits.
Entering the building's arches, you will find yourself in the luxurious lobby of Karazhan. The size of the building immediately catches your eye. You'll be convinced that it didn't look half as good from the outside, and you'll probably be right. It is unknown whether it expanded itself in the aforementioned “fifth dimension”, or someone deliberately expanded it, one thing is clear - this building is not at all simple. Take a closer look at the carved wooden horse heads near the ceiling, because they are there for a reason. This is the symbol of an ancient order associated with this place. But first things first.
If you go through the inconspicuous passage on the right, you will find yourself in the former servants' rooms. Now only the lonely ghost of the old manager guards the entrance to the darkness where creepy creatures live. Beasts influenced by corruption, such as huge spiders with cobwebs, demonic dogs breathing the musty air in the damp corners of forgotten rooms, and an entire army of giant blood-sucking bats, retreated from the sunlight into the darkness of the lower levels of the Tower, now covered with a thick layer of cobwebs .
Here it is worth mentioning the hypothesis according to which under Karazhan there is, as it were, a mirror image of Karazhan, descending deep into the earth. The owners of the Tower kept their dark secrets in this place. It is also stated that Karazhan may have a double not here, but in another world.
By the way, not far from the entrance to the Tower you can find a cemetery, and on it - a destroyed stone building that once stood above the entrance of an underground tomb. Now the path to the crypt is blocked by an enchanted grate, such that there is no force that could knock it out. There is evidence that this was once the entrance to the catacombs near Karazhan.
But let’s return to the beasts that the heroes of Azeroth once went to hunt before starting to clear the citadel itself. After killing enough creatures, one of their three patriarchs will come to the aid of their dark spawn and join the battle. Dear tourists can rest easy, you just need to take a weapon with you and you will be able to cope with these, to be honest, frivolous opponents.
Note that you can go through the servants' quarters to the guest quarters, but our tour will take you there along a slightly different route.
Returning to the lobby, look to the left, where you will see the remains of some kind of mechanism. Either it was an elevator, although it is unclear what and where to lift here, or a lifting mechanism for the gate, but the door to Karazhan cannot be called large and it hardly needs such a large device.
Now let's go further along the wide hallway of the lobby. Unkind music is heard from somewhere in the depths of the building, a bell is ringing somewhere, not foreshadowing anything good for uninvited guests; sounds in which you can hear water dripping onto the stone floor, gusts of a furious wind, eerie voices, screams of horror, it even seems like someone’s womb breathing, as if the Tower itself, a monstrous monster made of stone, wood and bone, is breathing deeply, merging into truly a diabolical composition.
On the dais stands the ghost of a gatekeeper, who believes that since you were able to enter, then you must be the owner's honored guests. You can question the spirit, but its answers will be short and meaningless. You can find out that the owner of the Tower was once Medivh (in subsequent chapters I will try to reveal in detail the biography of this great man) and that you can learn more about him from Morose, who is now receiving important guests.
Well, for the time being, let’s not interfere with Morose and choose a left turn into the stalls.
Here, for decades, dead grooms have been looking after the skeletons of horses. The deeper the visitor moves into the Tower, the more dangerous and hostile the fragments of Karazhan's bygone years become. Here, too, the servants and horses rush at everyone they see. Horses are knocked down with powerful blows of their hooves, and people finish off an unwary guest.
The servants, realizing that they are forever chained to this place, never tire of complaining about the endless Sisyphean labor in these damn, disgusting stables.
Here is the time to fulfill my promise and tell you about the two orders, for Attumen, apparently, belonged to at least one of them.
Karazhan served the Brotherhood of the Horse for some time, and may even have been built by its members. The Brotherhood consisted of elite paladins and knights from the kingdom of Stormwind. The only known member of the order is the great Anduin Lothar, hero of the First and Second Wars. It is also established that most of the Brotherhood fell in the First War and were raised as death knights by Gul'dan. Our Stalker is also a death knight, and of the “Gul’dan type,” which gives reason to believe that he is a former member of the Knights of Stormwind.
According to another hypothesis, Attumen is associated with certain Black Riders of Dead Wind Pass. They say that on moonless nights, the inhabitants of Mirkwood hear the clatter of hooves of a terrible cavalcade that rushes past the settlement and the barking of demonic dogs that follow the Riders. On such nights it is dangerous not only to go out, but also to leave the doors open. They also say that the Black Riders are the death knights of Gul’dan, who, after the death of their master, gained freedom and pursue some of their own goals, understandable only to them. Then people are simply at a loss about them: Maybe they are looking for the Scythe of Elune? Perhaps they serve Prince Malchezaar? Maybe the Riders serve the main Gul'dan death knight, Theron Gorefiend? Maybe these Black Riders are not death knights at all, because all knights death are imprisoned in the black Temple along with their leader? It is unlikely that we will be able to answer these questions... But one way or another, Attumen may well be one of the Horsemen, or even their leader.
After passing through the small forge to the far end of the stables, you will find stairs to the second floor to the armory, where the knights of the Brotherhood of the Horse are always training. There are also barracks where the soldiers slept, warmed themselves at small stoves, several of which still stand here to this day, and ate food. In the kitchen next on our way, deceased chefs are preparing food, butchering animal carcasses, preparing to serve many delicious dishes for the noble feast planned by the owner of the Tower. A fireplace is lit in the middle of the room and a spit is placed, but the fire no longer provides heat, and the meat does not fry on it, as in ancient times, saturating the air with its aroma.
Now it’s clear why that strange device in the servants’ quarters was needed. The assumptions turned out to be correct - it was a kind of elevator that brought cooks here who went to work after waking up, and food stored in warehouses on the lower levels.
Some of the products are also stored here. There are especially many barrels, revealing that the owner and visitors of Karazhan love to soak their throats with good wine. The harpsichord begins to dominate the noise of the Tower, and the music changes, while remaining as frightening as before. It seems that there is a ball taking place behind the wall.
Let's follow him, especially since Morrows must have been freed a long time ago and can answer all your questions.
Suare.
But now I’m bringing a muse to a social event for the first time
And the ball shines in all its glory.
Monotonous and crazy
Like a young whirlwind of life,
A noisy whirlwind swirls around the waltz;
Couple flashes after couple.
The stairs that we used to get to the second floor were once used by footmen and servants of various kinds. Old and dilapidated, no one needs it. It is much more pleasant to walk along the main staircase between the columns and decorations straight into the ballroom.
The harpsichord we had already heard in the kitchen is playing, the ball here never ends. Along the walls there are chairs for guests tired of dancing, tables where they could put strong drinks, as well as busts of some people, probably the inhabitants of the Tower or representatives of the secular society of those times.
The solemn atmosphere, however, is disturbed by an eerie picture - some of the chairs are overturned, next to them human skeletons are lying in disarray, gnawed by rats so that not a scrap of meat remains on the old bones. It seems as if people, calmly sitting on chairs, jumped up from their seats in horror, but did not have time to run far - death overtook them. Something bad happened at the ball here, but what? It is unlikely that anyone alive today knows this.
Leaving the gracefully dancing guests behind and passing through the arch on the left, you will find the banquet hall. Guests do not tire of talking while sitting at tables richly stocked with delicacies that whet the appetite with their appearance, and skeleton waiters do not tire of serving food and wine ordered by visitors.
It is not clear why, but here you can clearly feel a pressing feeling of fear, as if diffused in the air. Now the people waiting for Medivh to appear have already begun to worry, and now the skeletons are frozen in unnatural poses on the cold stone floor...
It was said earlier that today there is no being capable of telling about what happened here. But we can still make assumptions...
Let's start from the end.
Imagine this: A powerful wizard lives in a remote tower. He lives as a hermit, does not allow anyone to visit him (there are only three in the huge tower: a magician, a butler, a cook, and the fourth is a student whom a sorcerer decided to teach in his old age). However, it is known that this magician, Medivh, is a close friend of the king himself, may the Light grant him long years, and the head of the knights, Ser Anduin Lothar. And you yourself are a nobleman of the kingdom of Stormwind living in Mirkwood, moreover, lovers of social events.
And then one ordinary morning you receive two letters: one says that your peasant entered the Swamp of Sorrows and barely escaped from there, seeing strange green fanged creatures; in another, that Medivh himself invites you to a ball where all the cream of your city will be, and even a few guests from the capital.
Naturally, you don’t pay any attention to the first one - you never know what the mob imagines, moreover, its representatives who consider these disastrous swamps a good place for walking. And also when he was drunk, for sure.
On the other hand, Medivh himself invited you, and even expresses a desire to talk. Without thinking twice, you drop everything and rush to the sorcerer’s festival.
The guests are arriving and arriving, the harpsichord is playing, you are dancing with incredible gaiety... Moroz, the magician's butler, invites those gathered to the table, where you are treated to excellent treats. However, time passes, and the owner himself is still not there. Anxiety sweeps through the room, affecting everyone except those who have drunk too much wine. One man, the noble Lord Blackwood, known for his love of fair battles and dislike of such events, walked away, grumbling something about how the magician would never show up and that he should have stayed in Mirkwood with his children and wife (there is an assumption that only Blackwood managed to escape from this damned ball and now he is the mayor of Mirkwood, or the mayor is a relative of Blackwood from Karazhan). Four of the most prominent feudal lords approached Morrows to ask where his master had gone. He mutters something incomprehensible like: “Upstairs. Coming soon".
An incomprehensible chill runs down your spine, and inappropriately you remember that first letter.
Suddenly a horde of nightmarish monsters, demons or orcs runs into the hall. People jump up from their seats in panic, some are hiding, some are trying to run away, but fate overtakes everyone. And now Stormwind is beheaded, deprived of most of the nobility.
Something, we, perhaps, have fantasized. There are many inconsistencies in this story, we will not deny this. However, something like this could well have happened, and this would explain what we can observe in the Tower. And I assume you are also waiting for clarification about Medivh, his life and connections with kings, knights, demons and orcs. We promise that you will find out everything, but later.
Now it’s worth using the memories of Khadgar, that same magician’s student, and say a few words about Morrows, whom you can see right here in the banquet hall, on a small dais. You can also remember the cook, although her spirit rests in peace and cannot be found in the building.
Medivh's butler is described as a thin man with distinct animalistic features, making him resemble a ferret. Khadgar even wondered if the owner of the Tower had turned some animal into a human to serve him. Both the butler and the cook were old people who did their jobs well, were accustomed to all the oddities of their master and did not ask unnecessary questions. Morrows wore horse blinders all the time so that the visions of Karazhan, which were already wandering around the rooms at that time, would not bother him. The castellan and the cook, whose name was Cook, worked for Medivh for a very long time, until the magician finally went mad, killing his few servants. “His eyes were wide open, but his face remained surprisingly calm. Even death, it seems, could not strike the old castellan,” is how Khadgar describes what he saw. It is worth adding that next to the Tower there is a grave where the Cook, Morrows and Medivh.
The current ruler of the Tower interrupted Morrows' death sleep and revived him as an unfriendly undead. The butler is not happy about unexpected guests, and, apparently, you will have to... “convince” him and the four nobles next to him that you need to be let through... It’s a pity that the castellan will not tell anyone else about Medivh or anything else.
If you walk through the ballroom, you will find a staircase leading to the second floor. The upper tier of the dance room seems to frame the lower one, forming two wings. On the left wing there is a door for servants, locked with a padlock and in no way openable, and that same Lord Blackwood stands.
The balconies at the top offer excellent views of the banquet hall.
Look at the gloomy columns in this already gloomy place, listen to the distinct and menacing chime of the tower clock.
But let's not waste time, let's better turn into the first passage on the right wing - the guest quarters. The walls are decorated with portraits: creepy and not so creepy, and the rooms are filled with women who during their lifetime had a very... specific occupation.
By the way, it is of interest who here could use their services. This is somehow inappropriate for the knights of the Brotherhood of the Horse; Medivh, according to descriptions, was ascetic and would not stoop to this. Probably, the Tower existed even before the Brotherhood and was a kind of palace where feasts, balls, theatrical performances were held, one of which you will soon see, and visitors retired to guest rooms with ladies of easy virtue.
Interestingly, if you enter into battle with ghost girls, at first they will try to seduce you, and then turn into some kind of monster: demons or undead.
We meet the dead again, this time a pair of skeletons lying nearby on the bed. A dagger and a vial of poison will tell us about the tragic fate of these two. There is no sadder story in the world...
At the far end of the chambers stands a woman of titanic proportions - the Pious Virgin, and she is ready to sacrifice her life to fight against unclean thoughts. Let's leave her alone. We believe that your unclean thoughts will still be useful to you.
After the ballrooms and guest quarters, you are on your way to the theater. We are greeted by a stage, an enthusiastic audience in anticipation of the action, a colossal fancy organ, boxes, frescoes, a huge gilded chandelier under the high ceiling.
Music flows from the instrument, filling the soul with the deepest feelings. You will probably be delighted to learn that Sebastian himself, the famous virtuoso organist, is playing today. You've heard his wonderful fugues, haven't you?
To find out what kind of performance is being performed that evening, go backstage and find the entertainer. True, you may be hindered by actors who make full use of props and scenery to destroy you. We warned you that you should take security before leaving for Karazhan? This is not a backpacking trip to Mulgore.
Here comes the compere, and he seems to think that you are an actor. Moreover, he assures that you will certainly be able to play a role in today's performance. Let's take him at his word.
What are you going to participate in? Maybe it will be the story of the eternal love of Romulo and Julia or an old wives' tale about the little gnome Red Hood and the terrible gray wolf?
And here's the show. “Today we will measure the depths of the human soul together with a little girl and her true friends who help her find her way home. But she is being pursued by an evil old hag,” the presenter loudly announces. What a cute children's story! But - here's the problem! - the actors have somewhat forgotten their roles. The Scarecrow is trying to take your brains right out of your head, Stainless Steel and Snarler also want to rip your heart and courage out of you, and the girl and her dog just want to kill you. After defeating them, you will see an evil witch summoning hurricanes. But you don’t have vans, so it’s unlikely that she will seem like a terrible opponent to you.
Acta est fabula! The hall is shaken by deafening applause. Voices are heard from everywhere: “Bravo!”, enthusiastic hooting. Ever thought of being an actor? You seem to have talent.
One way or another, the way forward is open.
Libraries and their guardians.
A good library is a book reflection of the Universe.
We climb the stairs to the middle level of the theater balconies, where, of course, the spirits of spectators - regulars of these ominous productions - will try to keep us out.
One, two, three... the ghosts keep running up and running up. Apparently today is a full house. It’s better for us to run away, past the shops where they sell food and drinks, past the cabinets with books and paintings, through the entire bulk of the hall, up and back, away from the theater...
They seem to have come off, fortunately, the disembodied visitors to this cultural institution do not run very fast. Where did we end up?
You have reached the destroyed part of the tower, where ghosts hover above the floor in the darkness. They are no longer the fragments of the past that you saw before, but shapeless figures in which you cannot recognize a person.
Here is the second entrance to the Tower, here you can go out and breathe fresh (relatively fresh, you are still at Dead Wind Pass) air on the terrace, with which our further path will be connected. In the meantime, you should climb even higher along the creaking stairs that threaten to collapse right under your feet, but either they are supported by magic, or the experience of the people who built Karazhan.
By the way, remember the locked door in the ballroom? It led here and only opens from here.
We climb up and up the old steps. The surrounding area became noticeably brighter due to the huge holes in the stone skin of the Tower.
We got there. Here it is - the Gallery, through which the path to the library opens, decorated with stone sculptures of owls with eyes burning with a green flame, eternal symbols of wisdom, and guarded by vigilant magical guardians for many years. Medivh's influence is increasingly felt here. Let's walk a little more through the hall, to which magic has attracted numerous magical anomalies from outside, and we will finally satisfy your curiosity about the great sorcerer.
Everything in these and subsequent rooms was so well preserved, largely thanks to the mechanical Caretaker (Medivh, apparently, was extremely inventive - a cook named Cook, and a caretaker named Caretaker. It is strange that Morose remained Morose, and did not turn into the Butler ). And here, in fact, is him. The Caretaker, who was just walking proudly, noticed us and rushed in pursuit. But he still doesn’t know that he will have to let us through...
You enter a library, a vast repository of tens of thousands of magical volumes. This room is only a small part of the entire library, but it is an impressive sight. There are much more books and bonfires made from them (I remember Ray Bradbury, peace be upon him) than there are phantom inhabitants. But there are plenty of mechanical guards patrolling the hall up and down, albeit not as strong as the Overseer.
The outbursts of magic that occurred due to Medivh's research led to the appearance of maneaters here, completely invulnerable to any magic. Neither fire, nor ice, nor lightning, nor dark spells, nor light magic will take them, so you just have to knock on them with staves in the hope of killing the vile creatures.
As you make your way through the crowds of magical entities of all kinds and stripes, you will also notice books scattered everywhere (By the way, it won’t hurt to look at a couple; It’s unlikely that you will understand them, but if you do, you may be granted great power... for a while) , as well as magicians and wizards of the Amethyst Citadel, captivated by the secret knowledge revealed to them. Truly, et gaudium et solatium in litteris.
Here our path begins to go uphill again. We move from tower to tower within the Tower (pardon the pun) along the bridges connecting them.
Unfortunately, not only Dalaran, but also not very worthy readers - the warlocks of the Twilight's Hammer with their demons - laid their hands on the knowledge contained in the ancient tomes. They're clearly looking for something here.
Behind this cabinet, which turns out to be a secret door, a long corridor opens, ending in a room where two powerful demons are hiding: the goat-legged Terestian Sick Hoof and the puny Kil'rek - and many small demons.
Judging by the magical runes on the floor, they are about to sacrifice someone. Don't let them do this!
Having dealt with the demons here, let's move on to the next tower platform and turn left. Let's stop to rest here, at the closed door of a private library. Make yourself comfortable, because it's time to hear about Aegwynn, the Dragon Hunt and the Guardians of Tirisfal. Let's start with them.
When Arathor, the first united kingdom of humans, entered the Troll Wars, helping Quel'Thalas in that effort, contact began between humans and elves, sharing knowledge and skills. The masters of the high elves, having chosen a hundred of the most valiant, capable and strong-willed people, taught them the art of sorcery.
These wizards always practiced their magic very carefully; but they passed on their power and secret knowledge to a new generation who had no idea of the horrors of war or the need for self-control. These young magicians began to practice magic for their own benefit, and not for the sake of fulfilling their duty to their relatives.
At that time, a second large city was built in Arathor (the first was Strom) - Dalaran, where the new generation of magicians went in the hope of gaining freedom to use spells and escaping the control of the First Hundred. The inhabitants of Dalaran were calm about the activities of the magicians and created a thriving economy under their protection. It should be noted here that in Arathor the cities were endowed with enormous independence, being essentially city-states, therefore, the rights of the First Hundred to command young magicians did not apply here. Over time, more and more magicians flocked to Dalaran and the city adopted a new system of government - a “magocracy”, in which the supreme sorcerers ruled everything. But the more and more magicians practiced their arts, the more the fabric of reality around Dalaran weakened and tore.
The sinister spies of the Burning Legion, who were driven out during the destruction of the Well of Eternity, were drawn back into the world by the careless spells of the mages of Dalaran. Although these relatively weak demons did not fully manifest themselves, they created quite a lot of confusion and chaos on the streets of Dalaran. Most of these encounters with demons were isolated incidents, and the ruling magocrats did their best to keep such incidents secret from the people. The most powerful magicians were sent to fight the elusive demons, but often they found themselves hopelessly inferior to the lone spies of the mighty Legion.
After a few months, superstitious commoners began to suspect that their wizard rulers were hiding something from them. Calls for revolution rang through the streets of Dalaran as suspicious citizens began to question the actions and principles of the mages they had once admired. The high wizards, fearing that the peasants would rebel and that Strom might do something against them, turned to the only people they hoped would understand them - the high elves with their magical thirst.
Having heard news from the Magocrats about the actions of demons in Dalaran, the elves immediately sent their most powerful wizards to the people.
Elven wizards studied the flow of energy in Dalaran and compiled detailed reports on the actions of demons. They concluded that while there weren't many demons in the world yet, the Legion itself would still pose a huge threat as long as humans used magic.
The Silvermoon Council, which ruled the elves of Quel'Thalas, entered into a secret pact with the rulers of Dalaran. The elves told the mage lords about the history of Azshara, the Well of Eternity, and the Burning Legion. They informed the people that as long as they used magic, they would have to protect their citizens from insidious demons. The Dalaran archmages proposed a solution - to give individual mortal warriors enormous power so that they would use it for the eternal secret struggle against the Legion. They insisted that the majority of humanity should never learn of the Guardians or the threat of the Legion's attack, otherwise terror and chaos would reign. The elves agreed to the proposal and founded a secret society that oversaw the selection of the Guardians and helped contain the demonic onslaught.
All those initiated into the secret gathered in the shadowy Tirisfal Glades, where the high elves first settled in Lordaeron, so the society was called the Guardians of Tirisfal. Mortal champions chosen to be Guardians received enormous powers of elven and human magic. Although only one such champion could exist at a time, the Guardians were so powerful that they could single-handedly deal with Legion spies wherever they found them. The Guardian's power was so great that only the Council of Tirisfal could select those worthy of this title. When the Guardian became too old or tired of this secret war against chaos, the Council chose a new protector and, under certain conditions, transferred the power of the old Guardian to the new one.
Centuries passed, and the Guardians continued to protect people from the invisible threat of the Burning Legion. Arathor grew and prospered, and the use of magic spread throughout the empire. Meanwhile, the Guardians were closely watching to see if there were any signs of demonic activity...
Years have passed, during which many Guardians have changed. One of the last Guardians of that time became famous as a powerful warrior who bravely resisted the darkness. Magna Aegwynn, a girl from the people of people, earned the approval of the Order and received the title of Guardian. Aegwynn was one of five students taught by Keeper Scavell. Among them she was the only girl. Other students did not consider her a serious contender for the post of Guardian, however, by the end of the first year of training, only Aegwynn had the opportunity to comprehend the ancient knowledge of the scrolls of Maitre, the last existing work of one of the powerful highborne, who lived about nine thousand years before (it is necessary to take into account that no magician had the right to even read these scrolls until he became mature enough).
One way or another, Scavell took Aegwynn as the future Guardian. Although her teammates were against it, the Council considered her the best. The elves of the Council believed that Aegwynn had overcome many more trials on her way to the title of magician than Scavell's other students, so she was the most promising of them, and the dwarf Erbag reproached the boys for their dissatisfaction. When Aegwynn completed her training and received the powers of Tirisfal, she immediately began her duties. One of her first tests was the destruction of the demon Zmodlor, who began to possess children in one of the schools. Aegwynn immediately went there and exorcised the demon before any serious damage was done to the children. Erbag and Relftra reprimanded her for her actions - she rushed to the scene of the atrocity without any thoughts about Zmodlor's plans, which could put the matter at even greater risk. Aegwynn responded by saying that she could not allow the children to suffer just because the Council preferred a less radical solution to the problem.
Aegwynn was effective in tracking down and destroying demons, but she very often questioned the actions of the patriarchal council of Tirisfal. She believed that the ancient elves and human elders who led the council were too rigid in their decisions and did not look far enough into the future to end the war against chaos. Annoyed by too much discussion and debate, she longed to show her envious people and superiors what she was capable of, and chose courage over wisdom.
Aegwynn's power over the cosmic forces of Tirisfal grew. After 500 years (magicians have spells that prolong life for many years, and the Guardian’s abilities make these spells infinitely powerful) she learned that several powerful demons live in Northrend. Traveling to the far north, Aegwynn tracked down the demons in the mountains. There she discovered that demons were hunting dragons and draining the ancient creatures of their magical power. Mighty dragons, fleeing from the rapidly spreading people around the world, discovered that they could not resist the power of the dark magic of the Legion. Aegwynn fought the demons and, with the help of noble dragons, defeated them.
But just as the last demon was driven out of the world, a terrible storm broke out in the north. A huge shadow of ash and dust appeared in the sky above Northrend.
Sargeras, fallen titan and lord of the Burning Legion, appeared before Aegwynn, burning with hellfire. He told the young Guardian that Tirisfal's time was up and the world would soon fall to the onslaught of the Legion.
Proud Aegwynn, believing that she could resist the mighty titan, used all her powers against the incarnation of Sargeras. With extraordinary ease, Aegwynn destroyed the demon lord. Fearing that the spirit of Sargeras had survived, Aegwynn hid the mutilated remains in one of the ancient palaces of Kalimdor, which sank into the sea during the destruction of the Well of Eternity.
After this historical event, the Guardian, in her own words, became somewhat arrogant and arrogant. She felt that she no longer needed to reckon with the Council, because it was she who had accomplished the impossible; she, and not the Council, managed to save all the worlds from Sargeras.
For almost nine hundred years, Magna continued to protect the world from the minions of the Legion. But eventually the Council of Tirisfal declared that her time of service had come to an end. The Council ordered Aegwynn to return to Dalaran so they could elect a new bearer of the Guardian's power. But Aegwynn, in her pride, decided to choose a successor herself.
Aegwynn wanted to give birth to a son, to whom she would pass on her power. She did not want the Order of Tirisfal to manipulate her successor the same way they tried to manipulate her. Going to the south state of Azeroth, Aegwynn found the ideal man who could become the father of her son - a skilled human magician named Nilas Aran.
Aran was a court sorcerer and advisor to the King of Azeroth. Aegwynn seduced the wizard and became pregnant by him. Immediately after this, Magna abandoned her lover, whom she never really loved, and disappeared. The unborn child received a natural ability for magic, which would later determine the tragic fate of this child. The child also acquired Tirisfal's power, although it did not manifest itself until he became an adult.
Time passed, and Aegwynn gave birth to a son in a secluded, hidden place. Naming him Medivh, which meant "Keeper of Secrets" in the language of the High Elves, Aegwynn believed that the boy would be ready to become a Guardian.
Confident that her child was safe and sound, Aegwynn sent young Medivh to the court of Azeroth and left him there to be raised by his mortal father and his people. The Guardian hid the knowledge of Tirisfal from him in order to tell it when he became an adult. She herself went into the wilderness, to unknown places.
Already as a teenager, Medivh earned himself popularity among the inhabitants of Azeroth for his outstanding magical abilities and often went in search of adventures with his friends - Prince of Azeroth Llane and Anduin Lothar, one of the last sons of the Arathi clan. The three boys constantly got into trouble, but the townspeople loved them very much. When Medivh was fourteen, a great power awoke within him - the power of Tirisfal, which turned out to be too great to wield without consequences. As a result, a wave of magical energy emanated from Medivh, killing poor Nilas and plunging Aegwynn's son into a long coma.
However, we started talking, and time passes. The hour to continue the story will come, but now let’s enter the forged doors that are in front of us.
Behind them you will see a ghost - who do you think? – Nilas Aran himself, about whom we recently had a conversation. Our duty is to put to rest the spirit of the magician, exhausted by the fact that he cannot find peace for sixty years. To battle!
Before dying, the spirit rejoices that his nightmare has finally come to an end. Your efforts were not in vain. Sit tibi terra levis, old Aran...
Well, it seems that too many good deeds have already been accomplished for one chapter. Don't you find it?
Endgame in a lost world.
Walk the horse!
We rise higher and higher. Far below is the main hall of the Library. We are getting closer and closer to the ruins of the Tower floating in the void...
Another guests, attracted by excellent literature, settled on the upper tier of the library - ethereal robbers. To put it mildly, they are not very friendly, but one of them will later agree to trade with us and repair the armor damaged in intense battles.
Here the path bifurcates and passages up and down open before us. Let's take the left archway to get to the Medivh Observatory.
A gigantic telescope vigilantly watches the night sky, and falling stars fly by every now and then under the dome of the planetarium.
Here Medivh was engaged in studying and experimenting on breeding dragons, with whom the magician had a special relationship (you will soon find out what we are talking about). Here, even from the linen tapestries on the walls, you can learn a lot of new things. For example, did you know that in our star system there are three planets whose orbits form a figure resembling an eye?
And here is the dragon, imposingly making a solemn circumambulation around the telescope - the Wrath of the Void, or rather just a shadow of its former self. But even the shadow of such a powerful creature as a dragon can be dangerous. So it's better for you not to touch it.
Since we're talking about dragons, let's return to the place where we can meet another one, namely the Master's Terrace.
When Medivh began to use his magic without any regard for the consequences, the blue dragons, monitoring the flow of magic in Azeroth, sent a messenger from among their kind - the ancient blue dragon Arcanogos. He, having flown to Karazhan, to this very terrace, warned the sorcerer about the consequences of his reckless actions and about the sad future that awaits the world if Medivh does not leave the Tower. In response, the magician accused the dragon of unheard-of impudence - coming into someone else's house and demanding to get out of there - and cast a weak spell that sent a fiery arrow into the dragon's face, so as to drive it away, nothing more. Arcanogos deflected the arrow and this completely infuriated the sorcerer. He gathered all his enormous strength and uttered a terrible curse. The blue dragon caught fire from the inside and soon all that was left of it was a mad, embittered creature - a skeleton, alive, like necromantic ice snakes, forever tormented by hellish torments, and its name was Nightbane.
But some brave men killed the monster, and now there is only one way to fight it - to carry out the orders of the magicians of Dalaran at the doors of the spire, which they give only to heroes they respect. Then you will be able to summon the creation of the dark magic of Medivh and measure your strength with it.
Let's return to the fork that we met behind the room with the ethereals, and this time we will prefer the descent to the ascent.
We found ourselves in the Game Hall, separating us from the top of the Tower. Here there are pieces on the chessboard. Representing the events of the First War. People vs Orcs. King Llane vs Chief Blackhand. Infantry, cavalry, demons, elementals... Each of them is a chess piece.
And who is this? Could it really be Medivh himself!.. Unfortunately, no, this is just his distant Echo, but the resemblance is simply amazing.
It wants us to play a pariah game of chess with it. We warn you: Echo is maliciously cheating! But without victory, it will not open the door for us. You'll have to play.
The process is different from a regular chess battle: all the pieces move at the same time, use a limited set of abilities, do not put in check or checkmate, and do not eat the opponent’s pieces, but kill them. The victory condition is killing the enemy king. It's a shame we don't have Garona to do the dirty work for us. (If any of you don't understand what we mean, don't worry, because you'll find out soon enough.)
Llane falls to the ground. The hall is illuminated with bright light, the floor and walls shake as if in convulsions. The doors are now open and you can move on.
Now we have reached the very end. But before we come face to face with the evil that controls the Tower, let's look into Medivh's bedchamber.
Here Medivh ate, slept, read and wrote books, and conducted magical experiments.
Yes, no matter what they say about the wizard’s unpretentiousness, his chambers are luxurious. Especially this bed. No one will be upset if you sit on it? It’s much more convenient to talk about great magicians here. I remember we settled on a magical coma...
Returning to life, Medivh discovered that he had already matured (and his appearance had changed so that at thirty-six he looked like he was fifty), and his friends Llane and Anduin became not the last people of Azeroth, the king and head of the Brotherhood of the Horse, respectively. He wanted to use his newfound powers for the benefit of his native land, but...
Let's go back a long way, to the battle between Aegwynn and Sargeras. Remember that she noticed the strange ease of defeating the fallen titan himself? The fact is that this was Sargeras's plan. He only shed his fleshly shell, like a snake sheds its skin, but his spirit, whole and unharmed, fell inside Aegwynn, and through her into Medivh.
The evil spirit of Sargeras slowly took possession of the magician's mind and directed him towards the path of atrocities. Medivh's heart was filled with darkness, and Sargeras was pleased: almost everything was ready for his re-invasion of this world, and the last Guardian was supposed to help him carry out all his plans with ease.
We know little about this period in the wizard’s life, only that he settled in Karazhan with Moroz and the Cook, and that in those days he changed Atiesh, the ancient staff of the Guardians of Tirisfal, making it the focus of absolute power.
Note that when a boy falls into a magical coma for over 20 years, in addition killing the person who was nearby, this, to put it mildly, cannot but attract the attention of the Kirin Tor, the supreme council of sorcerers of Dalaran. To monitor Medivh and protect society from him, or rather, to spy and try to take over the powers given to Medivh for their own purposes, they created a special group, the Violet Eye, whose representatives can still be found at the Tower.
For about ten years, the Violet Citadel sent students to Medivh (partly to use them as spies), but all of them did not last long in the Tower. Either they were driven out by nightmare visions, or by the teacher’s oddities. Until Khadgar showed up. Both teacher and student quickly developed sympathy and deep respect for each other. Naturally, the “spy” did not spy on the magician.
At first, Khadgar believed that Medivh was a kind, old, slightly eccentric wizard. But as time passed, the young man began to suspect something. He learned that his teacher was actually the Guardian of Tirisfal, given the power to fight the Burning Legion.
But the perceptive Khadgar sensed that these were not all the magician’s secrets, that something was wrong with his teacher.
An orc emissary, Garona, arrived at the Tower in those days.
At first, Khadgar was furious at her presence, but the Mage demanded that his student treat Garona with respect. True trust arose between them when a strange demon appeared in the library of the great tower, and they had to join forces to deal with this creature. Garona and Khadgar constantly criticized each other's races while defending their own. Over time, Garona mentioned to Khadgar that the orcs had come to Azeroth through a gate known as the Dark Portal.
Garona, among other things, began to respect Medivh, and this feeling made her doubt her true commitment and loyalty. As she stated, the "old man" told her whatever she demanded, even though he knew about her espionage activities, and therefore Garona was not sure that she could betray him. She even felt that this trusting connection made her more “human” and it seemed to her that Medivh dreamed of bringing something good into this world.
Garona and Medivh developed feelings for each other. The affair between the wizard and the emissary led to Garona becoming pregnant by Medivh.
Due to Medivh's strange behavior, Khadgar and Garona felt it necessary to investigate and discover any connection between the sudden arrival of the orcs and the Mage's condition. Using a spell that allowed to see the past, Khadgar and Garona discovered that Medivh, in fact, was the man who led the orcs to Azeroth, thereby revealing his plans of murder and deception. This shocked Garona to her core, and although at first she thought it was a spell misfire, it eventually became clear to her that Medivh was the one who opened the portal for the orcs. After a short fight with Medivh, during which Khadgar used his powers to summon a vision of Aegwynn and thereby distract the Mage, the two fled and reached the (former) Kingdom of Azeroth.
By the way, Aegwynn himself, and not her vision, also appeared in the Tower.
Aegwynn closely watched her son for a long time and soon suspected something was wrong in his actions. Her suspicions were confirmed when she saw that Medivh had formed an alliance with the Burning Legion and brought the orcs to Azeroth.
Aegwynn met with her son to try to turn him away from his chaotic deeds and towards those for which she believed he was meant. When he refused, she tried to fight him, but since the Guardian had given her son all her strength long before, Medivh quickly defeated her. After the battle, he revealed everything to her.
However, Medivh did not kill Aegwynn. He left her in Karazhan, but she, using the remnants of her strength, teleported out of the tower. In a desperate attempt to tell the world about her son's true nature, Aegwynn revealed the truth to King Llane. She told him that Medivh was behind the orcish invasion of Azeroth, and that Medivh must be stopped.
By that time the war had already flared up with a bright flame. King Llane, convinced that the bestial orcs were unable to conquer Azeroth, stubbornly refused to leave the capital of Stormwind; Lothar was sure that the battle should be moved to territory occupied by the enemy, so he had to choose between his convictions and loyalty to the king.
Lothar decided to follow his instincts and, enlisting the support of Khadgar and Garona, who found it unbearably difficult to take part in the murder of her lover, but she understood the necessity of this step, went to storm the wizard's fortress - Karazhan.
Once in the tower, they found the servants dead, and Medivh himself was nowhere to be seen. Someone found a passage to the catacombs near Karazhan (probably the same mirror Tower), which witnessed the monstrous research of Sargeras-Medivh. The heroes managed to defeat the Guardian, whom they considered the cause of the entire war. Having killed Medivh's body, Garon, Lothar and young Khadgar, unknowingly, banished the spirit of Sargeras into the abyss. But the righteous spirit of Medivh remained alive, wandering around the astral world.
Khadgar was the victim of a spell that turned his body into a decrepit old man (like Medivh after his twenty years of sleep, but even more so). At seventeen, he looked like he was eighty. Having buried the teacher, Morose and the Cook, the young old man went to war. In the Second War, as a member of the Sons of Lothar, he entered the Dark Portal and can now be found in Shattrath City. Khadgar retains the memory of Medivh as he was when he defeated Sargeras within himself, and strongly disapproves of the actions of the Violet Eye.
Lothar was known as a hero of the First and then the Second War, in which he died with valor and honor. Several great heroes of the Alliance who were friends with the knight named themselves the Sons of Lothar in his memory. The Sons of Lothar closed the Dark Portal on the Outland side for years, trapping themselves in an inhospitable world.
Soon after, Garona became King Llane's confidant. She informed King Llane of the inner workings of the Horde and how he could use it to his advantage. But even at birth, Gul’dan invaded Garona’s mind and could control her whenever he wished; the rest of the time, the Half-Orc (Garona was the daughter of a draenei woman, “paired” by a warlock with an orc) was controlled by herself. Being in a deep coma at that time due to the fact that Medivh died the mental contact of the sorcerers was not broken; Gul’dan was still able to mentally influence Garona and force her to kill the king of people. Llane's son, Prince Varian, witnessed this murder, but even in his adult years he did not understand why tears were flowing down Garona's face at the time of the crime.
After defeating Aegwynn, Medivh decided not to kill his mother, but took away almost all of her magic. But he couldn't take away her anti-aging spells. Aegwynn was able to use them and teleported to Kalimdor, near Mulgore. On the hills near Capstan she built a house and grew a garden. She wanted to live the rest of her life alone.
However, the magic of the former Guardian was quite effective. When Medivh died, Aegwynn came up with a plan - she began to accumulate her powers until they were enough to resurrect the Last Guardian. It took 21 years, and the resurrection of Medivh almost cost her her life. However, Medivh returned and we all know what role he played in the Third War, righting the wrongs of long ago.
After his disappearance, Aegwynn returned to loneliness again, but this loneliness was soon interrupted by Jaina Proudmoore, who came in on a completely everyday issue: it was necessary to drive a herd of thunder lizards, and the shortest way was through Aegwynn's garden. Soon after Jaina's arrival, the women realized that they were sealed in Aegwynn's house by someone's magic, namely the magic of Zmodlor. After Jaina's escape, Aegwynn and Lorena, a colonel in Jaina's army, discovered Zmodlor, who had returned to Azeroth and began working to end the war between Durotar and Theramore. The trio met the demon, but Jaina was defeated by his sorcerers. In a last-ditch attempt to fulfill her duties as a Guardian, Aegwynn gave Jaina her last source of magic: her own life.
However, Aegwynn survived again. The former Guardian, who according to Theramore medics had "elven stamina", became Jaina's chamberlain and advisor, taking on a different name to avoid unwanted guests.
Aegwynn assisted Jaina in restoring King Varian's memories and assisted the blood elf gladiator Valeera in defeating her thirst for magic. Soon she met the son of her friend Garona, Med'an, who was incredibly similar to her own son. Considering that Med'an emanated a powerful aura similar to Medivh's, Aegwynn could only assume that Med'an was her grandson. This fact gave her new hope for cleansing her actions, which affected both Medivh and Azeroth.
Aegwynn debated whether to tell Med'an how she and her son were related to him, but in the end she felt that the desire to reveal herself as his grandmother came from her selfish side. Since her arrogance killed her son and brought only misfortune to the world, she decided that it would be better to do what was best for Med'an himself, since his future was too important.
Aegwynn is one of the founders of the New Council of Tirisfal, created to resist the Twilight's Hammer cult. It also includes Med'an and Garona.
In the final battle between the New Council and Cho'gall, the former Guardian sacrificed herself to give her grandson the powers needed to defeat the ogre. She was buried in Morgan's plot near Karazhan, next to her son.
Thus ends the story of the last two Guardians of Tirisfal. But it is quite likely that Medivh, who has disappeared to no one knows where, or his son will show themselves in the near future...
The last staircase of the Tower lies on our way. This is the top.
Among the darkness, the magician’s faithful griffin still flies in circles, or rather, what’s left of the unfortunate creature. Ahead is the final frontier - the Wasteland, the place where the Tower connects with the strange world of rocky islands circling in the void. By the way, from the Nether you can see almost the entire Tower, which probably confirms the hypothesis about Karazhan’s double in a parallel world.
Here comes the demonic lord of Karazhan. An eredar prince named Malchezar took the Tower for himself. He noticed you and is ready to attack.
The legions of fiery abyssalls of the Nether obey the will of the Prince. They fall from the sky, bringing fire, brimstone and death to the enemies of the mighty Eredar. But no matter how strong the demon is, you are stronger. Malchezar has fallen, and with his death the Tower will be freed from its curse. Sic semper tyrannis!
But the true owner - Medivh will never return here, so she will continue to stand alone in the gray darkness, a repository of secrets and dangers, the beautiful and deadly Dark Tower - Karazhan...
The island state of Otvan was protected by a line of black towers standing on the coast, in each of which a guardian sorcerer sat, weaving his spells into a common magical network that prevented the ships of the Light Council from even approaching, sinking them at distant approaches. For one thousand three hundred years, the light elves dreamed of crushing the dark country located too close to them, constantly forcing the Council to send flotillas of ships with magicians on board to the shores of Otvan. Alas. Losses, losses and more losses. The Holy Fathers called upon the heads of those serving evil all the punishments of the gods, but prayers did not help either. The black towers securely guarded the islands, not allowing a single foreign ship to reach them.
That is why the plan of the young magicians came in handy. This is what flexibility of thinking means. I wonder why it never occurred to anyone before to send spies to Otvan on a Tsuon ship? After all, it is much easier to get into Tsuon, and from there you can go to the inaccessible islands using local ships. The spies made their way to Otvan and carried with them amulets hidden behind sophisticated spells that allowed them to open portals. They hid these amulets not far from several black towers. Unfortunately, many spies were caught, but they could not find out anything - the magicians of the Light Council cast a spell on their people that, if caught, erases the memory and turns the person into a drooling idiot.
Ten teleportation amulets remained lying in the forest thicket under the guise of ordinary pebbles. A year passed before everything was ready for the attack. At the moment, combat groups led by powerful magicians landed not far from the towers, immediately blocking the dark ones’ ability to cast spells. The guardians simply did not have time to contact anyone. No one will come to their aid, no one. It is a great blessing for the Light that Otvan is so sparsely populated; such a trick would not have worked in Lirvan or Tsuon. The small village that Gert’s detachment encountered on the way to the tower was cut down to the last baby - there should be no witnesses left who could warn the enemy. Tomorrow morning ten towers will be destroyed at once, and troops will begin landing from ships drifting twenty sea lanes from the coast. All those who serve evil will die! Hundreds of inquisitors were waiting in the fleet for the signal. Very soon thousands, tens of thousands of bonfires will break out, on which the holy fathers will begin to cleanse the souls of the dark ones. Each country of Light allocated warriors for this good cause.
Gert grinned angrily. For him, the well-known aura of the tower guardian turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I didn't expect it to be so lucky. For forty years I dreamed of proving to my former mentor that I was worth something. The memory of being kicked out for mediocrity still burned his soul. More precisely, not even for mediocrity, but (as they said there?) for moral instability. Wow, he just used magic to force one impudent bitch into intimacy! What's the big deal? Didn't he kill you? Just fucked! How dare she, the creature, not pay attention to him, the magician?! Well deserved! And how much noise there was... A whole trial was held, as if Gert had done God knows what. The mentor publicly renounced his student, the senior sorcerers of Lorag forbade the rapist to practice magic until his death.
Finding himself on the street without a livelihood, the angry young man fled to Bartian. He escaped miraculously, he was very lucky, he made his way onto a merchant ship from Lirvan, and on the way he jumped into the water not far from the Bartian coast. Having reached the shore, he walked for a long time to the nearest city, and there he found the first light magician he came across and told him about his fate. He was so amazed that he personally went with Gert to Martaan through the portal, taking the young man to the Bright Academy of Nar-Alden, where he was listened to by mentors and high masters. None of them remembered a similar incident, the dark ones did not go over to the side of the Light, they never did. It would have been a sin not to take advantage of this.
All roads opened before the young man, all doors swung open, the best teachers taught him. And no one paid attention to the innocent entertainment. A magician in the countries of Light is allowed everything! In Nar-Olden, Gert only had to snap his fingers to make any townswoman do whatever he wanted. And if she didn’t want to, then the insolent creature was given to the executioner! This is exactly how it should be, no other way. Remembering the order of the dark ones, Gert shrugged his shoulders in bewilderment. This is necessary, magicians were considered the most ordinary citizens, and they were tried for breaking the laws in the same way as a simple artisan. They even executed him. Idiots! Complete idiots. They will die because of their stupid principles. But what a pleasure it would be to look your former mentor in the eyes before killing him. The light magician laughed contentedly. Tomorrow Oran will see how wrong he was in expelling the talented student. Yes, tomorrow.
The night passed peacefully. The sorcerer in the tower sat quietly, although he was constantly trying to cast some kind of spell. But nothing worked for him, Gert sensed these attempts and nipped them in the bud. And when the sun rose, the magician drank a pre-prepared elixir that increases sensitivity to power. He waited a little, got up and slowly walked towards the black tower. He knew that nine more senior masters of the Light Council did exactly the same thing at those moments. Approaching the border of the scorched circle that turns people into zombies, Gert laughed evilly and snapped his fingers, releasing the spell of another amulet that looked like a ring. A white beam burst out from the transparent stone. It seemed that the whole world shook at that moment. The beam hit the baked earth, and concentric waves ran from the point of impact. The dark spell writhed, not wanting to die, but there was no way it could cope with the power of Light. Several minutes passed, and the protective circle became covered with gray ash, becoming safe. Gert smiled wryly, waved his hand to the men-at-arms and was the first to step into the circle. Nothing happened. The magician laughed and moved towards the entrance to the tower.
Chapter VI
Magical revenge and attack
So, you can conclude from the previous chapter that the art of magical confrontation is unsafe for the only reason that if the blow misfires, then the blow reflected by the ricochet on the sender is inevitable.
However, many witches put this troubling thought out of their minds and happily continue their vile, unholy deeds, without ever returning to the thought of a possible deflected blow. If you are also of a frivolous nature, then you will obviously want to learn those time-honored methods of sending fast-acting, powerful curses.
In relation to the basic principles of witchcraft, the means used for destructive purposes are exactly the same as those used for constructive purposes. The only difference lies in the magical intent and symbolism used. The medium for the transfer of energy is the same, namely: the subconscious of both interested parties. The type of energy evoked (which must be developed in oneself) to carry out the operations of anger and punishment can take two forms: a binding, suppressive force to induce inertia or “binding hands and feet” - this force is related to Saturn; and cruel (scorching), destructive (harmful) energy of harming and burning. People usually call it a curse. This force is related to Mars.
Those charms which are akin to the nature of Saturn are drawn from the same symbolism with which you have already met in the previous chapter, namely, from the symbolism of Hertha, the Great Mother, who in the negative aspect is seen as the dark, terrible, cold bearer of Inertia and the mother of Habondia in the form Nocticula-Hecate, Lady of Night and Death.
The Spells of Mars bring us to the fourth and final magical creature: It relates to the nature of fire - the last remaining magical element that will be discussed in this book.
You've encountered this creature in two places already, though. not too detailed. This is none other than Gernunnos - Horned One. The first time you met him was when describing your making of a ritual witchcraft knife with a black handle with all its Martian symbolism, the second time you met him in the section on sex magic. He is the spirit of fire and energy, which is symbolized by the torch he sometimes holds in his hand and by the horns or branching shoots of the horns. He is also called the bearer of light. Hence his title - Lucifer. Because of this, he is often represented as carrying a flaming torch or candle between his horns, in addition to the torch he holds in his hand. It is known to witches by various names.
Besides the name Lucifer, he is called: Gernunnos, Mamilion, Robin, Dumus, Hu, Janus or Dianus, Barabbon or Barabbas. Its symbolism is partly akin to that seen in Thunor, the Northern Thunder God of Battle, as well as in Pan and Dionysus, the classical gods of ecstasy, debauchery and debauchery.
In being compared to fire, Gernunnos is reminiscent of Vulcan (Hephaestus) and Wayland Smith. As Vulcan is the worshiper of Venus, and Pan of Diana, so the Horned One himself is the pursuer of Habondia.
Many witches who belong to all-female covens of witches fix their attention more on the deity than on the god himself, arguing that two boots are a match. There is an eternal dispute between witches about which of the deities is stronger.
A curse
Before getting into the ceremonial side of the curse, let's look at the more general aspects of the evil eye, looking at it only from the perspective of your pyramid energy. As already mentioned, enchantments always work best when the ground is well prepared in advance. This is especially important in the matter of curses. A man who knows that he is under a curse, whether he believes in the power of the practitioner of magic or not, is in a more receptive state of mind than when he remains ignorant of the fact. And for this reason, such a means of sending as a voodoo doll is suitable. Of course, the sorcerer must be absolutely sure that this doll will not be used for countermagic against the sender himself. One can only be absolutely sure of this if it is known for sure that the victim will be too afraid to respond with countermagic or, as is more often the case, if he does not believe in witchcraft at all, considering it medieval nonsense. The last option is the most suitable for your influences using a doll. You will know that he will never condescend to indulge in any counter-magic or allow his superstitions to play out. Of course, it is possible that later, due to an avalanche of unimaginable misfortunes, the loss of his wife, his fortune, perhaps all his hair, he may decide to change his position in relation to medieval superstitions; he may then begin to consult either a well-known witch or group of witches, or alternatively, an experienced lawyer who specializes in cases of psychological intimidation. Then passively sticking pins into the doll will not be enough, you will have to really use your mental abilities; this will only be the beginning of the fight.
If you have a taste for real psychic confrontation, then a personally delivered verbal curse will be the most appropriate means of performing the "act of communication." Try to make sure that you find the victim alone, although in some cases, especially in the case of impromptu, this is not always possible.
As with any process of sending spells through radiation over a distance or in direct contact, the projection of your witchcraft energy can be performed in three ways - with your gaze, with your hand or with your breath. Usually they rely on the first method, from now on we will call it the old term - the evil eye. As in love magic, you must first catch your victim's gaze and hold it. This may be more difficult than you think, especially if the victim knows your reputation as a witch. To accomplish this. You can say things like, “I don’t trust those who don’t look you straight in the eye,” or as a final ploy, “Don’t you notice that my eyes are different colors?” for this purpose.
To transmit a curse, use a gesture of energy from the hand - the left arm is extended, the fist is clenched, the first two fingers point towards the victim. This is a dramatic evocation, especially when combined with a specific druidic method of projecting your witchcraft energy. At this moment, you need to stand only on the opposite leg (right) in relation to the pointing hand, close the opposite eye (also right), aim through the outstretched arm with an open eye and deliver a full blow with witchcraft energy. At the same time, pronounce your curse calmly and clearly. Some witches prefer to keep this a secret and are mostly content to specialize only in misfortune and misery. Others prefer the graphical application, enjoying the description of the torture they must inflict. The choice is, of course, yours, however, I will advise you to adapt to the sacrifice. On top of that, you don't want to be ridiculed. The process of confronting the victim will immediately follow your ritual of anger and punishment, unless, of course, you have developed your energetic powers to such an extent that you can inflict instant curses with just a glance. At the first stage of your development this is unlikely. One is either born with this ability or only achieves it with years of practice.
To make your curse more than an empty threat, you must create a dark current or vortex.
This will require the greatest tension of all your powers of the pyramid, strengthened by incessant repetition. If you belong to a coven of witches, then your task is much easier. You can rely on the combined energy of the pyramid forces of all group members.
You must come into contact with the abyss within you and call forth all the hostility and dark hatred that you have hidden in the most remote corners of your subconscious since childhood. It takes time to whip up one's emotions to the point where one can perform magical work, since such a complex task cannot be accomplished in one sitting. This may take several days because this is working with harmful energies and they can (obviously) harm the person using them. This cannot be taken superficially. This witchcraft is dangerous in itself, even without taking into account the possibility of a backlash, in case of appropriate protection of the victim. Before starting any operation of anger and punishment, invoking exactly as is done for the forces of fire and darkness, achieve absolute confidence in your consciousness that this risk is necessary. Only a mind in which there are no doubts or other thoughts can accumulate the required forces and manipulate them effectively.
One of the simplest ways for you to set the dark current in motion is the time-honored method of the Black Fast.
Every time at the time corresponding to a meal, if possible, set before yourself either really or in imagination what you consider a delicacy and firmly refuse it in favor of a piece of food and a glass of water and maybe a vitamin tablet, just for the soul stayed in the body. The fast begins and ends inside a personally drawn circle, walking around the circle counterclockwise (against the movement of the sun) and expressing your intention in the form
the following curse:
“(name of victim)! Damn you!
Repeat this curse for yourself every time you reject food. The process will last two weeks - starting with the full moon and immediately after it, and ending with the new moon. When the moon wanes, the dark tide flows faster.
This practice can be successfully hidden from your non-witch friends with a simple apology for dieting. Everywhere you look there are starving people.
The second simple way to place a curse on someone is the Candle of Witchcraft.
Here again we use as a magical action the constant repetition of a magical remedy. Traditionally, the hour chosen for this operation is midnight, but in reality the best time to attack is when you feel that your victim is fast asleep and therefore in the most defenseless state. In most cases, this is sometime in the morning.
You must begin the first series of this witchcraft, as in the Black Fast, during or in the new moon phase, that period of the lunar month which is known in the art of witchcraft as the dark moon.
Every night, at the same time, make a triangle on the floor, similar to that in Chapter 4, using the Martian Incense of Wrath and Punishment for the censer; On your altar there should be a bowl of ritual oil (see the last part of Chapter 7), ritual lamps, a cup, a cord, a knife with a black handle and a workbook, as usual.
Depending on the nature of the spell, either a Saturn spell or a Martian spell of destruction, surround your altar triangle with a circle of cypress branches, marble graveyard fragments and pieces of bone in the first case, or surround the altar with decorations of holly, spruce, ivy and animal horn in the second case. A witchcraft candle is placed inside the altar triangle: black - for the ritual of casting spells and suppression, red - for sending punishment and torment. This must first be ritually cleansed. For both the operations of Saturn and Mars, a small amount of powdered herb rue or myrrh should be mixed with the wine of consecration. You now need to tune your subconscious to the desired wavelength. For Martian operations, a red candle is used. You can use the spell Gernunnos, described in Chapter 4, beginning with the words "Eko, Eko Azarak...". Call forth a clear vision of a raging Gernunnos with a flaming torch between its horns. In his right hand, either a flaming sword, a trident, or the Lord of Misfortune holds a huge burning staff of gold, entwined with snakes and ivy, topped with a large glowing pine cone.
With his arrival, let your rage, anger and irritation play out with all its might. Feel the blood boiling with anger circulating through your veins.
Allow yourself to completely surrender to anger and rage) while walking in a circle counterclockwise! Then take the scarlet candle in your right hand, and with your left begin to lubricate it with oil for ritual witchcraft holidays. Start in the center of the candle and work like this: up - down, then up - down again. Do this for five minutes. This is the most important part of the spell. With each stroke, you should sing alliteration from words you made up that express your intention. It doesn't matter how simple or absurd they may be, it is important that they well express your feelings towards towards the victim and in rhythm with your irritation. With all the power of your imagination and all the faith and desire that you can muster, you should really try to see how your spell creates misfortunes, causing visually the image of the victim suffering from the pains that you desire. This type of spell is best used to cause misfortunes in general rather than any specific disaster. Rely entirely on how your subconscious and enhanced imagination will work, coming into contact with the subconscious of the victim.
Certain misfortunes must be sent when corrupted using a communication object, as described below in the chapter. To perform a Saturnian type operation aimed at inducing inertia, forgetfulness or disruption of plans of one kind or another. You must invoke the dark power of Habondia in its dark variant called Nocticula using a black candle. The spell described below works well for this purpose.
The magical landscape the image of which is conjured up must be a landscape of darkness and mystery. It is usually associated with the word death. Here's one we can recommend:
Night came, winter came, cold air. Two monolithic columns of granite rise from a sloping hill, and between them winds the path of the dead, pale in the starlight. Two columns mark the entrance to the kingdom of the dead beyond the north wind. Between them stands the representative of the dark force himself. An incomprehensible figure (either male or female), dressed in ancient black, motionless and silent. The face is hidden under the shadow of a hood thrown over the head. In one outstretched hand there is a rod with black thorns, in the other there is a torch flickering with a resinous, smoky flame. An owl, the symbolic bird of the dead, sits on the creature's shoulder. In the distance you can hear the barking of dogs or the howling of wolves ringing in the cold night air. Their guardian - Nocticula - Ruler of the Dead and Guardian of the indestructible Tower, is coming from home!
This is the basis for creating a Saturnian image in your imagination. Embellish it with your own imagination in any way. The more terrible and ominous they are for you personally, the more effective your magic will become.
Remember that you must evoke in yourself forgotten childhood fears of the dark, a deserted churchyard at night, a grave pit and a ghost in a cellar or attic. All the horrors and monsters that visited you in the most terrible moments of childhood must be caused by you and recreated with all the powers of your imagination. You must concentrate them and use them to create a dark vortex!
The triangle on the floor is marked in the usual way. The altar frame should be decorated. Saturn's incense of Wrath and Punishment must burn in the censer.
Repeat your spell to the four cardinal directions, crossing the circle with a cross as you did in the ritual of summoning the dead: cross to all four cardinal directions with your ritual knife with a black handle - a symbol of death. Here's the spell:
“Creation of the Ineffable Name and Boundless Power!
Ancient His Majesty Master of the Darkness;
You are cold, barren and gloomy
and bringer of death!
You, whose word is like stone and whose life is immortal.
You! The Ancient and the Only Impenetrable.
You! Who keeps promises best?
Who has the art of making people weak
and tired
Who is loved the most?
Knowing neither pleasure nor joy,
You! Old and skilled, unsurpassed in cunning,
Bringer of ruins and ruins,
Come here and fulfill your destiny!”
Bless the black candle with oil for ritual witchcraft holidays, just as you did with the red one, while reciting the usual intention spell from memory.
When you have finished anointing either this black or red candle, place it inside the altar triangle and draw a flaming cross in a blue shining circle above it in the air (with your black-handled knife). Light a candle with the words: “So be it!”
Then accumulate (create in yourself) concentrated hatred or anger. Maintain this state for the entire time until the candle burns out completely. Due to the fact that you are extremely tense during this process, it is better to stock up on short, thin candles.
If your subconscious was sufficiently tuned during the operation. Your victim will begin to feel signs of depression or inner anxiety sometime during the day. Witchcraft of this type does not always have an immediate effect.
Sometimes it turns out that it takes about 24 hours for the subconscious of the witch and the victim to communicate with each other through deeper levels and the awakening of consciousness begins. However, the secret of success here remains, as always, in whipping up your emotions to the required intensity and at the same time bringing your subconscious into a state of readiness with the right degree of concentration and the necessary number of repetitions.
While we are discussing Saturn type operations, it is a good time to look at the whole subject of the magical sending of Ligature spells in more detail. Ligature, as we have already seen, means the magical casting of a spell, usually performed by means of a symbolic cord or chain. The ligature belongs to the sphere of Saturn. In ancient times, the newly made creations of the Dark One himself were often laid to rest in the ground, bound hand and foot.
However, before considering ligature, we must touch upon a process of a similar nature, called the same, but significantly different in purpose.
Earlier in the pages of this book there was mention of a certain use of the witch's cord, when the cord was used by the sorcerer to tie himself up. This is done for two reasons. The first is that many witches believe that by restricting the movement of the body's members and preventing the passage of the senses, one can release the innate witchcraft energy and let it wander outside one's body: either in an invisible form, freed from the corporeal shell as a clairvoyant astral body, or in the form of a half-invisible, half-materialized ghost.
The witch's encircling cord is often used for this purpose - restricting mobility. To limit one's senses, a mask is put on that covers the entire head, but leaves the mouth free to breathe. This mask is sometimes called a witch's bridle or a witch's bridle (not to be confused with the old Scottish instrument of torture of the same name). The mask and cord are also used in ceremonial initiations into a group of witches. In this case, they symbolize the blindness and slavery imposed by the earthly world on the candidate. In none of these cases does the cord ligation process have any shady purposes. Quite the contrary. Another thing is the ligature itself. If you want to send a spell that prevents you from performing certain actions, then one of the best methods is a spell known to many as a “Confusing Spell.”
Get an object of communication with your victim: either a strand of her hair, which you must braid into a cord with red yarn, or some item of clothing on which it is convenient for you to tie knots. On the night when the moon is waning, preferably Saturday, at midnight, just before the new moon before the new moon, make your triangle with the incense of Saturn, having bitter wine in a goblet, and pieces of stone, twigs, sticks and bones on the altar. There must be a specially prepared cord in the altar triangle. Summon the dark force using circular crosses and a counterclockwise motion, and only then begin your spell when you feel a specific cold, numbing sensation of a presence nearby.
Take the cord in your left hand (the left hand is always involved in the operations of darkness) and tie nine light knots on it, starting from one end, then from the other, tying them towards the center. Chant this spell as usual, causing your witchcraft imagination to vividly conjure up a visible image of the result of your spell on the victim. See him unable to speak or perform any action you wish to prevent.
“(N), I conjure you.
At night your eyes are blinded!
Your ears are covered with clay!
Your mouth is sealed with earth!
Your limbs are bound by a rock!”
After tying the last knot, sing:
"Let it be so!"
Take the knotted cord and bury it somewhere in the ground, while quietly chanting these words as you usually do:
"Twist and entangle (N),
To never rise again.
Your eyes are dull
Your limbs are shackled
This is how I bury you in the ground,
Quiet and silent"
Have a real little symbolic funeral. If you suddenly want to remove this spell, you must perform a ritual that does everything in the opposite way. Call upon the powers of the air to free the victim. Dig the cord on a Wednesday when the moon is waxing. Draw a circle using Mercury incense and invoking Negpa using the Mercury square. Untie each knot, starting with the middle one, moving to the ends of the cord in the reverse order to the one in which you tied the knots. As you untie each knot, chant the following alliteration each time:
“The wind frees your limbs,
With your breath your mouth opens,
In a word, your ears open,
The light brightens your eyes.
(N), I conjure you,
Wake up, rise up. Let it be so!"
By doing this. You must, by the power of your imagination, force yourself to see the magical shackles falling from the former victim. Ligation is a relatively mild method of punishment (unless, of course, it is applied, as has happened in the past, to one of the victim's natural processes, such as the ability to reproduce or urinate). A more evil and well-known method is envoltation - the sacrifice of a wax or clay image or doll, well known in the art of witchcraft.
Envolting is usually done using steel or iron in the form of your ritual witchcraft knife with a Black handle, using steel pins. In both defensive and offensive magic, steel or iron is often used. This metal, symbolizing fire and destruction, fits well with the nature of the Cuckolded Deity as the personification of the spirit of the wild hunt.
A ritual knife with a black handle is your main magical instrument of aggression. However, many witches in a witches' coven use a sword for group work. The symbolism is the same. The sword is only more dramatic in its effect, especially when used during initiation rituals. But speaking from the point of view of magic, a simple witch's knife gives exactly the same effect.
To consecrate your sword. You must proceed in the same way as with a ritual knife. Buy it by bargaining and consecrate it. From an astrological point of view, iron is the metal ruled by Mars and it is its raw energy that we put into our invocations in Gernunnos as the personification of the Cuckolded God of War and Destruction.
We'll return to the topic of envolting later in the section called "Great Sorcery."
Whenever you wish to establish a connection with Mars or invoke it for the purpose of sending the Cuckolded God, the Great Witchcraft, to cause a storm, it is best to start with the talismanic square of Mars, acting like the squares of Mercury and Saturn, which were already mentioned earlier.
Rows or columns of numbers added horizontally or vertically add up to 65.
On Tuesday night, when the moon is waning, take your ritually cleansed square and divide it into twenty-five equal parts: five down, five horizontal. In the censer, light the Martian incense of Wrath and Punishment (see the last section of this chapter). Now come up with an alliteration, phrase or word for yourself that you feel appropriately represents the power of war and destruction in your mind. This could be a list of names of gods from various pantheons.
An example of one of the spells.
"Thunos, Balor, Ares, Mars!" or the name of the Cuckold himself
God, such as: "Barabbas, Barabbas" or the old witchcraft
curse "Rentum tormentum" ("Tear and torture them!")
or a word that evokes a feeling and sensation in you
complete combustion, the terrifying presence of destruction, such as
"Hiroshima! Hiroshima! Hiroshima!"
Each number must be inscribed with the emission of fiery intensity from the repetition of your spell. Use your witchcraft imagination to spur the flow of the most terrifying and aggressive thoughts in your mind. In witchcraft, only your own imagination can trigger the energy of your subconscious, you should feel enraged enough to gnash your teeth, as I mentioned earlier. This was not an idle comment. Pay attention to this.
When you write the number 25, seal the square by crossing it three times and saying “So be it.” Now you must be completely devastated after experiencing and spending such violent emotions. If not, then you did not put in enough effort, and the talisman will not be as effective. You really have to push yourself. Such an outburst of anger is not a normal manifestation of human emotions. It must exceed all normal standards.
Wrap the square in ritually purified material and store it in a secluded place. You will constantly use it during any “tuning” to Mars.
Black cross or inverted pentagram spell
Each of the symbols mentioned in the title can be used for this spell, the choice depends on whether you wish to curse or cast a spell to prevent something. The black cross is nothing more than our cross for the circle when summoning the dead. It simply means death and only death, just like skull and crossbones. The black cross should be used to cast spells in order to prevent some influences.
The base-upward pentagram with two upper points denotes either the horns of Gernunnos or, more likely, a person over whom the powers of the four magical elements dominate, and not the dominance of a person over them. This pentagram can be used for curses. First, obtain a relatively recent photograph of your victim. On a night when the moon is waning, preferably in its darkest quarter, make a ritual circle using Incense of Wrath in a censer. Place a ritual knife, fire, water, ritual lamps, ritual pen, ink and wand on the altar. Place the photograph in the altar triangle.
Now, approaching the altar and facing the north, briefly and forcefully proclaim the purpose of the magical work you are about to perform, conjuring up the image of Gernunnos or Nocticula-Hecate, depending on whether it is curse magic or spell magic for the purpose prevent the victim from doing something.
You call upon these beings only to be present when you use your own witchcraft energy, not to act. You assume to be temporarily identified with them. Having clearly declared your intention, you must give them the photograph, sprinkling and fumigating it three times, saying each time: “Creation of paper, I name you (N)! You are a creation (N)!” Then, using the wand, you symbolically “breathe life” into the photo by writing the name of the victim three times above the photo with blazing blue witch fire; humming in a normal manner. Now, as in the rituals of evocation of the dead and necromania, carry the photo around the circle in a clockwise direction, carrying the wand of divination in your right hand. Show the image to all four cardinal directions, starting from the east, and chant the name of the victim each time you show the photo to the cardinal direction. End in the North.
This completes your identification of the photograph with the victim.
Now you must begin the darker elements of the ritual. Moving all the time clockwise to the west of the circle, facing east, place your wand across the altar and take the ritual pen in your left hand. Using this pen, draw on the photograph, very slowly and carefully, a death cross with a circle or an inverted pentagram, while chanting the following words:
“I (witch name)
I apply to you, (name of the victim) such and such
grief and misfortune"
Or formulate your intention in some other way. Remember that your own words are always the best.
Now, having put down the handle, take the ritual knife in your left hand and repeat your words and actions, using the blade of the knife instead of the handle.
At this point you must really concentrate all your attention and direct into your action all the concentrated anger or hatred that you feel towards the victim. Conjure a vision of blue witchfire of deadly intensity. See the blue witchfire from your blade crackle over the photo! Burn her, while experiencing an uncontrollable desire to kill the victim. Finish the above ritual by showing the charged photograph to the North, West, South and East three times in a row in the same sequence, holding it in your left hand. A total of only twelve times. Each time you pick up a symbol, announce to each part of the world:
"Once the symbol is destroyed,
so my words will come true"
This reversal of the circle is known as the dark path, performed towards the North, against the sun, and completes the first half of the process. The second half of the ritual is performed to facilitate the transfer of energy through the energy object, following the principle outlined in Chapter 4.
The next day (ideally, the same night) secretly visit your victim's house and draw a circular cross or an inverted pentagram (either of them) lightly with ritual oil for witchcraft holidays or gum arabic on the threshold of the house or apartment. Swipe your black-handled ritual knife over this symbol, charging the symbol with witchcraft energy.
If it is impossible to reach the threshold, outline the symbol in the place where you know your victim will pass and attack. This work of magic is in reality nothing more than a psychic subversive trap. Naturally, the victim should under no circumstances see you displaying the symbol under his door.
It must remain invisible to the physical eyes of your victim. The symbol is programmed to react and influence only the presence of the victim, therefore it does not endanger other passing people.
All that remains to be done now is to slowly destroy the photograph. The best way to do this is to dissolve it in a container with dilute nitric or hydrochloric acid (a photographic cuvette is ideal for this). Place the photo face up so that you can watch the image disappear.
If this is not possible, simply tear off a small piece of the photograph every night, at approximately the same time as you performed your ritual. This process, sometimes known as lesser witchcraft, is, as you can see, quite unpleasant. Most of the operations detailed in this chapter must be performed exactly as described, including those performed with the forces of hatred and fear continuously maintained.
If dark forces do not scare you and you, as before, want to create a high reputation for yourself as a witch and achieve a certain weight among witches, use these methods. But when you dine with the devil, you must have a long spoon; As I mentioned before, the only “spoon” that has a truly sufficient safe length would be the immoral method: find someone to do the dirty work for you. And even then there is no complete guarantee that you will not be discovered and magical reprisals will not follow. As I mentioned at the beginning of Chapter 5, your occult activity will never go completely unnoticed. I am convinced that something, if not someone, is always on guard when the occult scales are tipped one way or the other by the use of witchcraft energy by one witch or group of witches.
Spell BARABBAS
Here is a ritual of anger and punishment, brought to us unchanged by witches from medieval Spain. This is a conjuration of the Horned God using the Christianized titles: "Barabas", "Satan" and "Devil". From the point of view of the destructive powers inherent in Gernunnos, it can be loosely related to these images.
However, those who currently profess black art do not recognize its Christian-theological origins or any allusions to it.
The spell is impressive and traditional, even including theological digressions.
Make a triangle on a night when the moon is waning. Use the incense of anger and punishment. Decorate your altar with your regular Gernunnos decorations. Place a flaming censer in the center of the triangle.
Summon "Gernunnos" with the spell "Eko, Eko, Azarak" and so on. Then take a small amount of ritually purified salt, coriander seed and some carnelian or sardstone. Not only is it a magical "battery" or gemstone, but it also has the red Martian color. Place this in a mortar and grind it all together. The components must be turned into powder and mixed well enough. Divide the mixture into three piles.
When midnight strikes, sweep one of the piles into your left hand and chant the first part of the spell, passing it from hand to hand, back and forth, as you chant:
"Salt and coriander, I conjure you with Barabas, Satan
Devil be damned!
Not like salt and coriander I call you,
What about the heart (N is the name of the victim)!”
Having said these words, throw the mixture into the fire of the censer with your left hand. When it flashes, continue:
"How are you. you burn well, so let your heart burn (N)
Bring it here to me!
Conjured by the Queen of Sardinia
The most underworld
sailors at sea!
(N), I call you by the name of Barabas, Satan
cursed by the devil!
The most underworld
Spirit of Sardinia,
enter (N)
and bring it to me quickly!
Forces of the slaughterhouse, bring him here to me.
Powers over Cocodover,
bring it to me quickly!
I send all my strength to call you
In the name of the Queen of Witchcraft,
In the name of the Queen of the Elf Castle,
who walks through the fields during the day,
visits crossroads at night,
weaves wars and enmity.
I join you all!
Now we will all enter (N) silently,
From there I will return home again
After we wrap his sides, his lungs
and his heart is the strongest!”
Repeat this three times, using the second and third piles of powder. At the end of the third repetition, seal with a triple cross made with the left hand and the words:
"Let it be so!".
Before dealing with the great cornerstone of destructive witchcraft - the "Great Envoltage" (corruption) or witchcraft, it is necessary to consider three less sinister, but traditional processes that serve witches for such matters.
Three Simple Spells for Ruthless Witches
Rise before dawn on Saturday or Tuesday when the moon is waning. Select a branch of an annual hazel tree (this is a traditional tree, but any will do) and cut it with your black-handled ritual knife, chanting as you cut: “I separate you, your active branch by the name of (name of the victim) for the purpose of his overthrow.” Return home with this rod and that same night, when you are sure that your enemy is sleeping, make a circle using the incense of anger and punishment. Then, visually evoking the image of your victim's face in the altar triangle, circle around the altar, starting in the east, while rotating around your own axis counterclockwise.
During each rotation chant the following words:
"Droch! Mirroch! Esenaroch!
Betu! Baroch! Maaroth!
Do as many rotations (pirouettes) as possible. Every time you turn to face the altar, hit it hard with the rod held in your left hand. Make three full rotations in a circle. When you reach the east after the last circle, drop the rod completely to the floor, “letting go of your hands,” and chanting the words “So be it!” As a rule, the person who insulted or offended you will feel blows, if not directly to the face, then at least blows from fate. This spell does not use the energies of the object or object of identification, it is entirely dependent on the witchcraft energy of the operator and is therefore classified as a more elemental process than most spells.
Now consider another simple element of witchcraft, which uses the energy of an object in the form of a potion to add to pies and cooking; this potion is to be sent to the unsuspecting victim and his newlywed wife, preferably as a wedding gift.
Spells to discord lovers
Draw a circle when the moon is waning. Place the cup in the altar triangle. Wrap around the triangle as for your Hecate-Nocticula spells. Place the following items inside it: a pinch of crushed orange peel, a pinch of salt, a few grains of pepper, caraway seeds and powdered rue. On top of all this, pour a small amount (about a quarter cup) of boiling distilled water, which should also be on hand.
While you are pouring boiling water into the mixture, clearly evoke with strong mental efforts the image of a couple who seems to you caught by surprise in the unpleasant, hostile, predicament that you have in mind, while saying the following incantation:
“I, (witch name) make this potion.
May it bring curse and deep sorrow
For this married couple (X) u (Y) (their names).
May they never be in agreement.
Let them fight every day.
May their marriage ties be broken
in less than a year.
This kind of life should be between them.
Let their life be like this!”
Seal the spell with the words “So be it!” and make three crosses with your left hand. Inject the potion into anything: chocolate, cooking, a bottle of homemade wine in any way that is most convenient for you. You can also enhance the potion's potency by adding a third process, which can be done the same evening in the same circle.
Sending Eight Magical Servants
This spell dates back to the Middle Ages. It uses the technique of sending "devils" or small magical servants.
Although they are called in broken Latin by the names devorator (devourer) - devourer and seductor (seducer) - devils, they should not be understood as real independent beings, but rather as materialized witchcraft desires, small flickerings of magical fire created by the imagination and sent to fulfill specific goals. In this case, sent for liberation from favorite spells.
Here is the spell method:
When the moon is waning, take out photographs of each of the lovers, enter the ritual circle that you made with your own hands. Write the appropriate names on the photographs using ritual pen and ink. Give them a name, using water and fire, as you did in the inverted pentagram spell, display them in the four cardinal directions, thus clearly identifying the photographs in your Magical Imagination with their originals.
Then firmly glue the photos back together. Now go to the south side of your altar table, facing north across the altar, and place a small amount of sulfur powder or asafetida gum on the hot coals of the censer. Hold the photographs in the foul smoke with your right hand and press them with the tip of the ritual knife, holding it in your left hand. Chant the spell. As you say each of the eight names, imagine lightning from witchcraft energy striking in the photo from your magical weapon:
Dentorl Concisor! Devorator!
Seductor et Seminator!
and sow irreconcilable hostility!
I guide, conjure and compel
You by the dark Deity and her
Cuckolded Spouse.
Like the face of one image
turned away from the face of another,
So let the face (X)
will be turned away from the face (Y)
(names of victims)"
When you turn photos away from each other and glue them together. You must visualize and actually see the quarrels and unhappiness. “It can’t be otherwise!” - You must be unshakably confident in this. Finally, bury the photographs in the ground for twenty-four hours and dig them up the next night, chanting softly in your usual manner:
“Soignator! Usor! Dilapidator!
Dentor! Concisor! Devorator!
Seductor et Seminator!
You who sow discord, where are you?
You who inspire hatred
and spread irreconcilable hostility!
I guide, conjure and compel you
dark Deity and her Cuckolded husband,
Go!
Do what you are ordered to do!”
Seal with the words “So be it!” and a triple cross with the left hand. To complete the spell. You must now somehow arrange for these photographs to come into the possession of the victims. Placing them in the binding of a gift book is the best method. You can also hide them under the double bottom of the box in which you send chocolate “filled with the potion.” As a last resort, you can bury the symbol under their porch or under some of their property. This is the traditional way.
Envolting is one of the darkest, most powerful operations of hostile witchcraft, this is the “Great Damage”. In English it is called “Operation Grand Conjuration”.
To achieve its goals, this spell uses all the magical tricks that can be mastered: repetition, evocation of a demon or soul, identification with an object, object of energy, energy of iron, incense of wrath and punishment, square of Mars, destructive herbs and witchcraft candle! This operation is quite complex, as you will see, and should only be performed as a last resort when all else fails.
Performing Great Sorcery (Envolting)
On Tuesday, at midnight, just before the new moon (the closer to the winter solstice, the better), mark a triangle around the altar, pointing north. Similarly, align the work table itself so that its altar triangle also points north. Inside it should be placed a discos-pentagram, on which the modeling material is located: clay or wax. The decorations around should be your usual Gernunnos decorations - antlers, evergreens and so on. Place outside the altar triangle:
A censer with burning incense of anger and punishment,
A cup of bitter wine (rue or myrrh),
Rod,
Surrounding cord
Knife with black handle,
An unlit witchcraft candle (red),
Ritual lamps,
A bottle of oil for witchcraft ritual holidays,
Items of identification
Destructive herbs and cemetery dust (see end of chapters),
Your Dagydes or ritually cleansed ritual needles.
In this type of complicated ritual, there is no place at all on the altar for a workbook, so you will have to memorize the entire process, or do what many witches do: place the notebook on a ritually cleaned book or music stand next to the table.
Begin your action by performing a meditation number alignment in the square of Mars to tune your subconscious. Use the same words you spoke when illuminating the square of Mars. To write numbers accurately, they can be written as a hint on the back of the square. Having brought your subconscious to the required Martian level, place the square on the altar, and begin to consecrate the triangle of the floor with your wine and the invocation of Gernunnos: “Eko, Eko, Azarak, etc.” Once you feel that you have evoked the presence of the deity, you can move on to the mortar and pestle.
Place the herbs of death and dust from the cemetery in a mortar, grind them into powder and quietly, rhythmically chant your intention to yourself over and over:
“I work for the destruction of (victim’s name),
I work for the destruction of (victim’s name), etc.”
Mix the resulting powder with clay or beeswax on the pentagram of the paten. Knead it thoroughly while continuing to chant your intention. Then start sculpting the doll (making it five to eight inches long). All the while, slowly chant the victim's name to yourself. Sculpt the figure as skillfully as your abilities allow. Some witches, instead of sculpting a face, place a photograph of the victim's face in this place. However, this is not necessary; remember that the main thing is that the image reminds you of the victim. Make sure the doll is the correct gender. It helps a lot if you focus on emphasizing the details of the parts of the body you intend to attack. If the attack is to the head, then make sure that the face has eyes, a nose, a mouth and ears. If it’s on the foot, get the details, even if they are too small.
When you feel that the doll matches your idea, insert hair or cut nails into the appropriate places. (If the object of identification is liquid, such as blood or saliva, incorporate this into the base material before starting sculpting). When everything is done, write on the doll with the tip of your ritual knife the name of the victim and below the following words of power:
"Cabye Aaaze Hit Fel Meltat"
Then bless the doll with a dab of wine, chanting your intention and calling up an image of the sacrifice in your mental vision:
"In the name of the Cuckolded God
Creature of wax (or earth), I name you (N)!
You (N) – (where N is the name of the victim)
Moving the doll to your right hand and taking the wand with your left, breathe “life” into the image by tracing the name of the victim over it with witchcraft fire. Perform identification by pointing the doll to the north, west, south and east, chanting the name of the victim to each cardinal direction. Then place the figure in the altar triangle with the head facing north.
This completes the first section of the ritual. Now take your scarlet witchcraft candle and begin to rhythmically rub it as expected: with ritual oil for witchcraft holidays, quietly chanting a prayer of hatred and destruction aimed at the victim, accurately establish the torment that you want to send to him, and allow yourself to immerse yourself in the evoked fantasies. Continue to do this a predetermined number of times until your message is clearly and sincerely immersed in your subconscious.
Eighty-one is a good number of repetitions, but some practitioners insist on more repetitions.
When you have completed the rubbing, place the candle on the northernmost tip of the altar triangle above the doll's head and light it. Then go yourself to the north of the triangle and face south, across the altar, crossing your arms over your chest in the traditional gesture of the God of Death. Sing the words of identification:
“It is not my hand that does this deed, but the Horned God!”
Just as in your doll love spell, feel the Horned God standing behind you.
Feel him leading your left hand towards the enchanted ritual needles, the Dagydes! Feel it burning inside you with anger, emotions and energy! Again, with a mental effort, bring up the image of the victim in front of you. At this point, speed up your pulse with quick, sharp breathing. Let the Cuckolded God grab the pin with your left hand! Hear him sing in broken Latin the words of a medieval great witchcraft through your lips. See clearly how the “devilish” sparks flutter around
the points of the needle are like moths around a lamp!
"Arator, Lapidator, Omtator, Somniator, Subaerfor, Ikvator, Signator, Sudator, Combastor, Pugnator,
Duktor, Seduktor, Somostor, Voe omnes ministera odey et destructaones et Seratore discorde, et kyund
Libiter opera fisitis et traktibus. Cude pat nose!”
Now allow the God of Wrath to vengefully thrust a pin into the place of the doll that you intended for torment with the words: “So be it.” If the torment is headaches or hair loss, stick a pin into the crown of the head, if there are heart or stomach pains - into the center of the body, rheumatism in the limbs - a needle into each limb, and so on.
If it is necessary to completely end the victim, then in this case it is usually necessary to pierce the heart with one pin and then slowly melt the wax doll over a fire, or dissolve it in water if it is clay.
After the sacrifice is completed, the witchcraft candle must be left to burn out. Needless to say, for best effect, a ritual such as this should be repeated on different occasions, thereby developing witchcraft abilities and ensuring the formation of an irresistible vortex, beam of rays or pyramid of energy. This is, or rather should be, an extremely great test for a witch. Performing this ritual involves considerable stress and risk, and for this reason is often postponed to be performed by the entire coven of witches, similar to the operation of evoking the dead. However, in this case, all actions are performed by one operator, although the words and mental evocations of images are joined by everyone present in the form of responses - reactions of a reciprocal feeling. In this case, the circle surrounding the triangle on the floor should be used.
There are, of course, other variations of this process, some of which are practiced in an extremely simplified form. Such a primitive example is the hammering of three iron nails in the shape of a triangle into the northern part of a tree trunk, calling out the name of the victim with each blow. I'm sure this is still practiced to this day. On the other hand, some ultra-modern practitioners living in Europe modernize the process and, instead of using the traditional witchcraft pin as an instrument of sacrifice, mix a small amount of iron filings into the sculpting material, and then proceed to connect the head and legs of the image to the input and output of an electrical generator. At the appropriate moment, the switch is turned on - and the doll is either dissolved by heat, or, if it is made of dried clay, destroyed into small pieces. There are practitioners who do not entirely rely on their own witchcraft energy and believe that their influence is enhanced by the magical images of other witchcraft beings. They can supplement their witchcraft with a separate spell of such a demonic creature of fire and destruction as the giant, about whom it is said in the Lemegeton: “... A strong and powerful prince, appearing at first in the form of a terrible leopard, but taking the form of a man with burning eyes and a terrible appearance. the operator’s team... He will destroy and incinerate those who are enemies of the operator, if he wishes it..."
Needless to say, performing this operation is fraught with the greatest danger. That is why it must be carried out inside a large circle of protection, fully reinforced by four watchtowers. The manifestation triangle should also be drawn towards the north. The triangle contains a demonic diagram drawn with ritual pen and ink on ritually purified paper. The operation should be performed in clear weather, when the moon is two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve or fourteen days old, between sunrise and noon.
In the censer you need to light Martian incense or resin without other additives. You should have a pentagram of protection and a demonic diagram hanging on your chest. (They can be placed in one suede or silk perfume bag).
The words of energy in this process are: “Themesho-Masanin!”
It is not advisable to conjure up the image of Flauros before its visible appearance. This is not necessary in most cases, and I emphasize, very undesirable in this case. If a demonic image ever appears, it can be assumed that it was Satan - Flauros.
2. Initial appearance of the seal
3. Symbol for a witch's tambourine.
In order to further compel the demon into submission, after performing the initial ritual of identification with fire, water and wand, many practitioners include part of the initial ritual in the spell, a description of which can be found in the last chapter. The diagram is removed from the operator's chest, tied with a witch's rope, and wrapped in black material. Then it is carried in a circle, brought to each part of the world for “display” using a sword or ritual knife with a black handle. She receives further consecration by fire and water and is finally unfolded and placed within the altar triangle of manifestation. After you charge the demon with his mission of destruction. Not only must you give permission to part, but you must also ritually cleanse your room with fire and water by burning one of the cleansing incense mentioned in Chapter 5 in the censer.
I speak briefly of this evocation ritual, as it is more the province of a very well-trained practitioner who already knows from personal experience how to hold demonic manifestations of a violent nature in his hands if necessary.
Causing inclement weather
Now about the process, which can obviously lead to misfortunes (as the medieval Christian always believed). I will tell you how to cause a storm and the consequences associated with it, about weather control. In this section, the heading is chosen for convenience rather than to precisely define the content of the section.
From ancient chronicles we know that long ago powerful practitioners of the occult were credited with the powers and abilities to control the weather. All occultists, from the eastern shamans of Kuban Khan to the Druids of the British Isles, share the ability to control wind, rain, fog and lightning. During the Middle Ages, in all Christian countries, this art was always seen as another manifestation of the ever-present satanic power. Orthodox Christian doctrine states the following: “Almighty God, in the depth of his wisdom and for reasons known only to himself, temporarily transferred power over the elements to Satan, under whose regency the world was until the Second Coming.” Hence the title of Satan - “Lord of the World”. “This power Satan, in turn, bestows upon witches, sorcerers, and other practitioners of the black arts, all who, if not subservient to him, are at least in league with him.”
This power to control nature was then used either for the vile purposes of harming the harvest of those who are devoted to God or, if the actions of sorcerers led to good results - ending in an increase in harvests, then it was still used as a means of leading the unwary astray from the true path, as an indicator of the heretics' reliance on the devil.
However, as with any eclectic (spiritual) dogma, witches had their own beliefs and managed to maintain the belief quite consistently throughout the various periods of persecution in Europe and England. Years of complete secrecy largely contributed to the fact that occult science was broken into the smallest fragments and hybrids were formed from the widest variety of knowledge, which is what we have now. It makes no difference who uses witchcraft energy: the owner of hereditary, innate talent or a witch who trained in a group of witches. The methods used to control the weather are extremely varied, it is impossible to list them all.
For example, someone familiar with the centuries-old practice of weather control will come to mind at least nine different ways of causing rain. There is a method based on burning the dried liver of a chameleon on the roof ridge, another on throwing flint pebbles behind the back, methods based on throwing sand into the air; knocking out splashes of water in the river with a broom; boiling hog bristles in a cauldron; vigorously shaking water with your finger in an earthen hole; splashing water on a naked virgin and finally sacrificing a pitch black cockerel.
Most of these methods Frazer would characterize as "sympathetic" magical gestures - processes designed to influence their target in accordance with the magical axiom: if you perform an action symbolically, then whatever you imagine can actually happen, thanks to the unity of the universe , the interaction of microcosm and macrocosm. This is, of course, the basic working thesis of witchcraft. However, this is what Prazer misses, and this is what distinguishes the children's game of imitation from the genius of a genuine witchcraft operation.
This is an inevitable factor of occultism - the participation of the subconscious in the work. If the operator is not able to penetrate into that deep-lying layer of consciousness that influences the harmony of the individual, called the subconscious, then all this “witchcraft” is in vain (it is limited to his inner personal sphere). At best, this will be just an exercise in auto-training. And in the worst case, it will be a fantasy game to hide from the hostile world around us. Only when the depths of the subconscious are in contact, only then does any real witchcraft take place.
This principle also applies in the process of weather control as in any other magical field. Most of the work done in this regard by modern witches' covens involves the direct use of personal or collective witchcraft energy and is used to "disintegrate" or dematerialize cloud structures. It is necessary to look at them intently, without looking away, and this is often done impromptu, rather than as a carefully designed ritual.
The process of “splitting” consists of simply sending the forces of the pyramid to cause the event you want to happen - the dissolution of the clouds. Only this and nothing more. Indeed, it is a simple process of sending energy. In this example, this happens to a natural phenomenon, and not to a living person. You must “see” the clouds splitting and spreading, emptying and shattering them with your concentrated water and imagination.
However, for witches who prefer more thoughtful actions, it must be explained that the point of the process is to use the associative (prototypical) symbolism of the four elements of wisdom.
In order to raise a storm or wind to be used either to disperse clouds or to uproot trees, contact must be made with the forces of the air, using as many magical images as you can think of; these images must follow the principles of air. The square of Mercury can be used and invoked by Negpe. From the watchtower of the east the Kerubic eagle or Great Bird must be summoned. The wand should be used in ritual as a symbol of power and you should strive to call up all the stormy, howling, gusty, wind-swept memories of a storm or hurricane from your personal life experience and strengthen them with a rhyming spell within a circle made with your own hands, using Mercury incense.
To summon a light breeze for good purposes, call it on Wednesday when the moon is waxing at 8 am, 3 pm or 10 pm; for a destructive storm, conjure at the same hours on Thursday; when the moon is waning.
For a thunderstorm, call upon Gernunnoz and all the powers of fire on Tuesday when the moon is waning. The Great Lion from the watchtower of the south must be summoned and you must brandish your flaming ritual knife with a black handle or sword as a magical emblem, lighting the incense of wrath and punishment. Thunor and all the storm gods must serve you!
For fog, cloud or rain, invoke Ledy Habondia as the mistress of the Great Waters and that Ancient Serpent, the mighty Tiamat from the watchtower of the west. Light your moon incense (see Chapter 3) and use your ritual cup of salt water as a magical weapon of summoning power, performing the operation on Monday at 8 a.m., 3 p.m., or 10 p.m.
If you wish to conjure up a storm in advance, which is to occur in the indefinite future when you need it, use the old witchcraft device of tying the summoned force into a talisman, which is then “discharged” at the right moment. The best remedy is a knotted rope (cord).
Perform the usual ritual and action of weaving the cord with red ribbon or yarn, as in making your ritual girdling rope, linking the forces invoked through repetition of alliteration (expressing meaning) using sounds of your own composition.
Perform the operations by tying three light knots on the rope: two at the ends and one, the last one, in the middle, with the words:
“When these knots are untied, let there be weather!”
When the operator wishes to produce the desired effect, he must take the rope in his hand and turn in the desired direction, to the west for a storm, to the south for a thunderstorm, to the east for rain. Then he must call upon all the forces of the required element from the depths of his being with all the strength of will, faith and imagination. According to tradition, at this point he must whistle three times for wind, clap his hands three times for thunder, or spit three times for rain. The metric spell of intent created by the operator will then be of thunderous force, enhanced by untying the three knots in the reverse order of how they were tied.
If you want to connect the forces of all three verses and raise a hurricane, then you must perform all three operations for each case separately. This is done by tying new knots on top of previously tied ones. Three large triple knots are made on the same rope. When you untie them, make sure you work in reverse order, chanting the all-encompassing incantation. This spell must include all the elemental images of the elements in question: rain, wind, thunder.
When doing all this, the most important thing is that the operator all the time “before possession” feels like a deity, using as a trigger device all the previously awakened prototype images of the elements within himself. That's the whole point. Weather control is something that needs to be worked on.
A very important factor is contact with the prototypical elemental forces in their most fundamental form.
As a beginner, you should be wise enough to begin experimenting with this type of magic in a season when the element you are trying to summon was not too unusual. As mentioned earlier, don't strive for the "impossible." And never try to create an “incredible” phenomenon for a given time of year.
You must always remember, especially at this initial stage of witchcraft, that the most important thing for you is your own faith in your magical powers.
Herbs and incense
To conclude the chapter on magical methods of attack, I will give some indications of traditional destructive herbs suitable for this purpose.
I strongly advise avoiding toxic ingredients in your perfume bags and incense; stick to chemically more harmless ones. Remember that you should try to use magical rather than physical force. Injecting someone in the event of a magical attack is difficult and dangerous, since the use of real herbal botanical poisons can easily be construed as a highly antisocial action, regardless of how these herbs came into your possession.
Herbal compositions, like other subjects of the topic of this chapter, are divided into two categories: some are of the Saturnian nature, inducing inertia, and others are of the Martian nature - herbs of torment. Let's start with the last one.
Martian incense
This traditional Martian Incense of Wrath and Punishment was composed of the following ingredients:
Ammonium resin
Euphorbium
Black and white hellebore roots
Powdered magnetic iron ore or magnetized iron filings
Sulfur
All this is mixed with a few drops of human blood, a black cat and the brain of a deer.
Not surprisingly, many of these components are poisonous, and the last two are difficult or impossible to obtain.
Taking this into account, a simpler modern Martian incense can be composed:
4 parts powdered dragon's blood resin
4 parts dried, powdered rue
1 part dried ground pepper seeds
1 part dried ground ginger
1 pinch of sulfur
1 pinch of magnetized iron filings or powdered magnetic iron ore.
Instead, you can burn pure dragon's blood, sulfur, or asafetida resin in the censer. The last two have an extremely unpleasant and pungent odor and should not be used in large quantities. Sulfur must be used especially sparingly because of its foul, suffocating smoke.
Martian powders for perfume bags
"Cruel" or "destructive" herbal amulet bags are better known in the United States as hex powders. They may be composed of the following herbs and woods, used alone or in combinations. If the amulet has the shape of a bag, then it should be tied with a red ribbon or thread. It is tied when the moon is waning, preferably on the day and hour of Mars (8 am, 3 pm or 10 pm). Most herbs should never be used as a potion as they are extremely poisonous. But they are traditional witchcraft herbs and deserve to be mentioned for that reason, although it is best to leave them alone.
The first ones on this list are non-poisonous, and therefore you can place them in your witchcraft office.
"Strafe" - punishment grass (leaves of black thorn Prunus spinosa)
Pepper – black, white and red capsicum.
Earthy ginger root.
Dried chills
Dragonfly resin, used by grain makers as a coloring agent.
Powdered sulfur (sulfur color)
Grinded sawdust hollies – Ilex aquifolium (not edible)
Ground ash sawdust – Fraxinus excelsior (not edible)
Ground hickory sawdust – Carya alba
Dried stinging nettle – Urtica dioica – (and any other herbs or spices that have astringent properties).
Euphorbium – Euphorbia corollata – (in the United States “snow on the Mountain” – poisonous)
Bdelia aromatic resin – Balsamodendrum Wolfsbane – monkshood – Aconitum anqlicum – (from the same family as buttercup, Ranunculaceae – poisonous)
Ammonia resin (used in the past as an astringent, poisonous!)
Death cup mushrooms – Amanita phalloides – deadly.
Here you can also add destructive herbs that are related to the nature of Saturn, the traditional Saturnian Incense of Wrath and Punishment from black poppy seed, henbane (black), mandrake root, powdered lodestone and myrrh. This needs to be mixed well together and combined with the cat's brain and bat's blood.
However, the following recipe will also work for your purposes:
4 parts myrrh resin
1 part dried elderberry leaves or twigs, powdered
1 part dried, powdered yew or juniper
I part dried powdered cypruz leaves
1 part patchouli leaves or a few drops of patchouli oil
1 pinch of magnetized iron filings or magnetic iron dust.
If this is not available, you can light one pure myrrh resin in the censer.
Cemetery dust
For a seasoned professional of the witchcraft, this can mean one of three things:
1. Either just dust, or earth taken from the church yard.
2. Dried, powdered mullein herb verbascum thapsus.
3. Bone dust and asphaltum – also known as mummy dust, obtained by scraping from Egyptian mummies. For obvious reasons, this is a very rare item nowadays.
Any or all of these may be used alone or in combination with Saturian hex powders or perfume pouches designed to convey inertia or restriction of some kind. The following “medicinal herbs” can be used in a similar way:
Ground myrrh wood
Black poppy seeds
Holda berries, leaves, and flowers – (elderberries or
Sambucum nigra)
Rue – Ruta graveolens (edible but bitter)
Bitter aloe
Sourgrass (sorrel) – Rumex acetosa edible but bitter
Hawthorn inflorescences – crataegus axyacanthus
Periwinkle flowers – Vinca maior or minor
Ground juniper wood and flowers of juniperuz communis
Ground wood and berries of yew (Taxus baccata)
Felonwort (bitters weet or – woody nightshade – Solarium dulcamara – poisonous!)
Belladonna - sleepy stupor, devil's grass - Atropa belladonna - poisonous
Magic nightshade – circaea lutetiana – poisonous
Twilight sleep – black henbane Hyoscyamuz niger – poisonous
Devil's apple (Datura stramonium - poisonous!)
Markof Cain (hemlock – Conium maculatum poisonous)
The last seven, although they are traditional magical herbs, are used in homeopathy in potent, natural-based medicines. Just like with Martian herbs, take precautions with these herbs.
In order to consolidate success and ensure the full implementation of your plans, you must plunge into a trance state using the first spell, then mentally say Balthazar’s name three times to summon my phantom, and imagine what you want to receive from him. This procedure should be repeated at least 3 times. If you want to contact me directly for help, then fill out and send questionnaire to my mailbox [email protected] Consultation on any issue is free.

Closed quests for the section
Guardian Gemma (path of Light)
The quest is dedicated to the Birthday of the Order of Balance.
In ancient times, when the power of the Order knew no bounds and expanded beyond the boundaries of this world, Truth and Justice reigned everywhere. But nothing can last forever, and the peace of the world was disrupted.
The black alchemist and magician Morellin, by the power of his spell, stole the Guardian Gem, which served as a Seal that locked the Gate to the Kingdom of the Dead. For, as the magician believed, whoever owns the Gemma is able to open and close the Gates, and the dead obey him. Intending to become the sole ruler of Ledrak, Morellin opened the gates and summoned dead souls, gathering the Dark Army under his banner.
But something happened that was not part of his plans.
Orraine devoted his entire life to searching for the fragments of Gemma. Forgotten by time, it was forgotten by people.
But then a rumor spread that a Stranger had appeared in the Capital. Many old-timers recognized him as the seeker of the Guardian Seal - Orrein.
What secret did he bring with him to peaceful Ledrak? Have you found the treasured relic? The answers to these questions can only be given by a Wanderer staying in the Tower of Balance...
So, the quest is taken in Tower of Balance (right tower) at the gate in the Capital.
Conversation with Orraine
The figure of a stocky man with a piercing gaze rises before you. In his hands is a heavy tome, with forged edges, and a chain wrapping the book in a triple ring. You hesitantly approach and immediately recognize him as the Wanderer Orraine.
Orraine: What brings you to me?
You: I learned that someone who in ancient times was searching for a missing relic had appeared in our city.
Orraine: These rumors are true. I was looking for this thing... once upon a time.
You: Did you find what you were looking for?
Orraine: Yes and no. I only managed to overtake the thief and defeat him in battle. But Gemma, destroyed by the power of the spell, eluded me, and her fragments are kept in the far corners of the world under the vigilant guard of the dark alchemist’s minions.
You: Why don't you continue your search?
Orraine: I'm too old for this kind of travel. And here I am only for the reason that I need an assistant who would take on this matter. For a fee, of course...
You: I think that I am capable of such a task.
Orraine: Great, I immediately felt the spirit of valor in you! So, to the point... First, you need to go to the Paladin Castle. There, in the labyrinths of the Tower of Light, one of the fragments is stored - Amber “Tear of the Sun”. The monks guard the Tear like the apple of their eye. After you get the first part, go to the distant Tower of Chaos. In its labyrinths you will find the second part of the Gemma - Tourmaline "Moonlight", guarded by guards - the Monks of Darkness. I'll be waiting for you here.
1. Find the fragments of Gemma in the labyrinths of the Tower of Light and the Tower of Chaos and bring them to Orraine.
The fragments are located on the ground floors, but before picking it up, put on combat equipment (after all, only in case of victory will the fragment be yours).
Having found the parts, we return to the Tower of Balance.
(second) Conversation with Orraine
Orraine seems to have been expecting your return for a long time.
Orraine: Did you manage to get the pieces of the amulet?
You: Yes, here they are. I kept my promise, now it’s your turn to keep your word.
Orraine: Yes, yes... This is your reward. You deserve it by right.
You get gold coins (83)!
You: Well, not a difficult job, not a lot of money - fair enough.
Orraine looks at you in bewilderment... Something clearly did not go as expected!
Orraine: Wait, but my magic can't overcome Morellin's curse! The vile warlock used an unknown spell against which my spells are powerless! Here we need other, more ancient knowledge.
You: And how do you find out the secret of the spell?
Orraine: Only by resorting to the help of Morellin himself. Perhaps he is ready to atone for his guilt by telling us his secret knowledge. But to do this you will have to go and visit the tomb of this wicked man.
You: Although I have no particular desire to communicate with the dead, I will go on this journey for the sake of the victory of the forces of Light.
2. Go to the Ruins of the Ancients
From the entrance we move one cell down.
Conversation with Benorius
Benorius: Well? Have you come to tear up graves and disturb with your plunder the remains of ancient warriors, who are now unable to answer you adequately? As soon as the earth bears such...
You: Wait, I didn’t come to rob. I would like to find one grave and pray for a forgotten soul.
Benorius: Pray, you say? Well, this is a good thing. Who are you looking for?
You: If you know someone named Morellin.
Benorius: My memory has become weak But I remember one with a similar name. He is buried somewhere among the distant tombs. Come on, I'll show you.
You: Follow Benorius.
You follow Benorius deep into the Ruins of the Ancients...
3. Find Morellin’s tomb among the graves.
You move to the Abandoned Tombs area... There will be 5 tombs to choose from: guess what - a dialogue with Morrelin, no - a fight with the tomb keeper.
Benorius: This is the place. Among these graves there are few left with inscriptions, so I cannot help you with anything more.
You: Thank you, grandfather, and now let me be alone in my grief.
Benorius: Of course of course. I'm leaving.
Select a tomb with a cracked wall
Select a tomb with an iron grate
Select a tomb with bas-relief
Select a tomb with a stone vase
Select a tomb with massive chains
The tomb is enveloped in a whitish fog, and the outlines of a human body appear through it. Having overcome your fear, you decide to talk to the ghost.
You: Morellin?
All wrapped in a gray cloak of cursed Shadows, looking around predatorily, like a hawk ready to rush from the heights to the next victim - this is how the ancient warlock Morellin appeared to your eyes.
Morellin: Yes, that's my name. What should I call the one who dared to disturb my peace?
You: It doesn't matter to you. It's unlikely that you know my name.
Morellin: Then, to what does the stranger owe such attention to my person?
You: I am here to return an ancient artifact of the Order of Balance, stolen and subsequently destroyed by your vile sorcery. Fate gives you the opportunity to atone for your guilt by revealing the secret of the spell that destroyed Gemma.
Morellin: Your words are quite bold At another time, anyone would have paid for such insolence. But my time has passed and, perhaps, I will help you. I guess that old Orraine has not yet calmed down, looking for Gemma, and therefore sent you in the hope of returning the lost value.
You: I am here only to learn the spell of Creation.
Morellin: This means that the restless old man finally found parts of Gemma Perhaps this is for the best. Then all you have to do is find a manuscript in my crypt that contains the secret of the spell. Now say goodbye and may luck smile on you.
